I guess this forum can handle some topics related to art, but not directely to books

Just saw a documentary on this old aboriginal painter named Emily Kame Kngwarreye. Normally I'm not that interested in what is called original art, but this one is special. The interesting aspect of her work is that although the woman who only started working on canvas after the age of 80, and although she never set foot in a museum of modern art her work is closely related to many artists and styles of "Western" contemporary art. Apart from this truely amazing fact her work his widely appreciated. Just take a look for yourself
