Enzo Francescoli, River Plate’s technical secretary, spoke on TyC Sports about the futures of Teo Gutiérrez and Matías Kranevitter, two players who have been linked with Atlético Madrid in recent weeks.

About Teófilo Gutiérrez: “Teo has already shown his worth, we are not going to undersell him. We are waiting for the offer for him. The representative said that he has one. It still hasn’t reached River yet.”

Kranevitter’s future: “We are negotiating with Atlético Madrid over Kranevitter. We want him to continue at the club until December…”

Gaitan is doubtful because he does not have EU passport and we already have the 3 spots occupied.

Seems to be BS at the moment and has been denied, at least for now. Would be extremly idiotic move on Barca´s side. No offense to the player but 35 is simply too much.

Konoplyanka will sign for Sevilla.

São Paulo president Carlos Miguel Aidar says in Mundo Deportivo that they are currently studying Atlético's offer for Caio. He confirms that the proposal is about a loan deal.

Rodrigo Caio won't be signing with Atlético on loan because he wants a permanent move. Atlético aren't ready to take that risk because of the knee-cap injury he suffered as a 15-year old. He'll stay with São Paulo. Confirmed by the club and the player after a meeting they held tonight.

As for Arda; Bartomeu's gone public about it now. Whether it's just politics or actually true, we'll see because on one hand the Arda-camp want a transfer to the Premier League and preferably Chelsea while they're denying the FCB-thing publically.

I so hope the Barca part is not true. Not that he is a bad player but 30-35M for somebody whod be able to start in January is simply too much and Arda aint no Luis Suarez. Hopefully Arda gets his EPL move.

If this Toby Alderweireld to Tottenham for 15 million euros story is true that's bad business by Atletico. Should be fleecing premier league clubs, a Belgium starter who had a good season in England and will have great resale value for up to 3 years should be going for no less than 25-30.

When it comes to potential buying, 35 million for Jackson who's not a regular international and will have negligible resale value. Atletico need better negotiators. Maybe they need lessons from Porto.

indeed, he is the most underrated defender in Europe IMO. When you see a player like Imbula going for 20+ mill then 15 mill for Toby is a bargain!

Alderweireld doesn't want to fight with Godín and Giménez for a spot because he doesn't believe he can earn himself one. That's the harsh reality. He wants to leave Spain because of family and financial reasons as well. If he's not ready to fight for his spot or at least compete in the long run as the third CB, then there's no point in keeping an unhappy player. Atlético should be happy if they even get €16 million for him considering it looks like the secretary didn't activate his buy-back clause in time. Atlético miss a CB of Alderweireld's characteristics and it would be nice to get one but he has his shortcomings as well. Tremendous as a 3rd choice CB, not someone I'd rely on to build a CB-pairing which'll guide the team to success for years.

Simeone apparently wants an experienced CB as a replacement while the club are looking at Chancel Mbemba from Anderlecht.

As for Jackson Martínez: he's not a regular with Colombia because Pekerman likes Téofilo Gutiérrez more and Falcao is more mediatic. He's never had a proper run despite doing well at Porto as well as Jaguares and Falcao not being the same player he was 1,5-2 years ago. Pekerman for all the good things he's done with Colombia apparently didn't take Zanetti to the 2006 World Cup in Germany because he thought he was a jinx.. Bacca haven't had a chance either and both are better players than Falcao at this moment in time. Resell value or not, it doesn't matter as long as he contributes with his attributes on the pitch and scores goals. A certain Diego Forlán also joined Atlético as a 28-year old and the club didn't sell him for any money either yet he's one of the most successfull strikers the club has ever had. Oh and we should be happy that there's no resell value considering Gil Marín sells everything good he gets his hands on.

Arda official to Barca for a fee of 34 MM € (might rise to 41 MM €).

Arda's unfortunately a complete dickhead. Atleti aren't anywhere close to FCB's level in terms of financial muscle but going there (and he could've chosen a different destination) will just make him another mercenary passing through..and this isn't me being disappointed in all honesty, this is just the way Atlético-fans will think of him. That's a massive shame considering everything he's given to the club and especially how much Atleti gave him when things weren't going particularly well in Turkey.

Knowing LFP and RFEF they'll probably arrange the Atlético-Barcelona game for the first round before January so he can't play against Atlético at Vicente Calderón

Anyway, let's see if they can finally sign his replacement quickly so Simeone can work on his new squad.
