UEFA Europa League | 3rd Qualifying Round | vs Strømsgodset IF

Marienlyst Stadion, Drammen. This is where the return leg will be played 4/8

The draw is official.

Atlético will be playing Strømsgodset IF from Drammen, Norway in the 3rd Qualifying Round of UEFA Europa League. Our boys will start at Vicente Calderón against the Norwegians, the first game is scheduled to be played 28/7 while the return leg is set to be decided a week later, 4/8 on their home soil; Marienlyst Stadion.

Our rival reached the 2011-2012 edition of UEFA Europa League after winning the Norwegian Cup against Follo last season.

Strømsgodset are currently sitting fourth in Tippeligaen with 23 points, only Brann, Tromsø (26 each) and Molde (29) have managed to gain more points after 15 games. This is a team that's very strong at home and they've showed it this season by being 6-1-1 in eight home games while they're suffering big time away; 1-1-4. The negative thing with playing this team so early into the season is because they're fully fit as Norway play from March to November.

The full squad list is available on UEFA's website now.

Atlético have registered Sergio Agüero as well

http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague...uad/index.html

They haven't registered Elías for some reason though..

Elias because of non-EU spot?

ATM_es: Diego Costa se retira de la sesión con molestias en la rodilla derecha. Será sometido a una resonancia.

Seems like Diego Costa won't play this game, tweeted by Atlético just a couple of minutes ago.

as long as we have forlan life is beautiful.

Previously known as Maximiliano.

Aupa Atleti !!!!

Yo me voy al Manzanares
al estadio Vicente Calderon
donde acuden a millares
los que gustan del futbol de emocion
Porque luchan como hermanos
defendiendo su colores
en un juego noble y sano
derrochando coraje y corazon
Atleti, Atleti, Atletico de Madrid...

Real =
Barca =

José Antonio!!!!!!

Great play there, finally a breakthrough in this game. Well played back by Adrián, brilliant lob into the penalty area as well and a even better finish.

Miranda sent off in his debut. What a shame.

2-1 by Storflor. I just knew we'd screw up. RG has been on the pitch for six seconds when they score

Storflor. He wasn't in Rosenborg's team when they shocked Valencia, was he?

Don't blame him for the goal.

Perea was pulled out of his position and I don't know where Silvio was. But if RG had more time on the pitch he would have covered the run of the player.

First half was much like the games against Granada and BJK last week, we had a lot of possession but couldn't quite convert it into something good. Adrián should've scored at least a goal though as he was through with the goalkeeper at two occasions. The team improved a lot in the second half and weren't really bothered by Godset who just couldn't create anything worth of notice. Atlético scored two great team goals tonight, two excellent finishes by Reyes and two good set up's by Adrián who was involved tonight, just a shame his finishing let him down. Forlán was among the best as long as he was on the pitch.

The left-side with Filipe-Reyes worked very well, as expected. The majority of our attacks came through that flank. They were both very good tonight and contributed. The right was less impressive even though Sílvio managed to get a cross in for Forlán where he perhaps should've scored a goal, hit the post with his header. It's early days and all but Sílvio really has to stop diving into challenges, he did the same thing at Braga before signing for us, so nothing new there. The defence worked well, for the most part, no complaints there. Gabi deserves a lot of credit, one of the best players on the pitch tonight. He kept switching flanks with precise passes which gave our attacking players a shot at taking on Godset's defenders. The goal we allowed is very hard to judge considering the cameras were on RG. One of our central midfielders and Sílvio should've been awake, same goes for Filipe as well. Absolutely no need to allow that goal and now we're in danger of getting knocked out because of it.

A shame Miranda got sent off, he did well while on the pitch, unlucky, but you have to cover the space behind you and not think about the offside trap in those situations.

Hello,

Found your forum and thought I'd just correct the stadium picture you showing in the first post. The picture the thread starter have used is of Skagerak Arena, the stadium of ODD Grenland FC.
The pictures i have attached is the real Marienlyst Stadium.
