Adios De Gea

is gone to manchester united, i am sad about this one

Previously known as Maximiliano.

Aupa Atleti !!!!

Yo me voy al Manzanares
al estadio Vicente Calderon
donde acuden a millares
los que gustan del futbol de emocion
Porque luchan como hermanos
defendiendo su colores
en un juego noble y sano
derrochando coraje y corazon
Atleti, Atleti, Atletico de Madrid...

Real =
Barca =

Tough times for your club.

No manager, no sporting director, getting rejected by guys from clubs like Getafe, Aguero wants out, De Gea leaving... yikes.

I love it.

Interesting how Atleti has made close to 25M euros in two years by selling two young GKs and still manage to have a hot prospect in Joel (and Asenjo as backup if he recovers) be ready for next season. Nice business on this end. But with Forlan, Tiago and maybe Kun leaving too, this team could sure do with some star and firepower.

Worry not though, Lucho will have you guys set in no time!

A cookie to guess the only club in Europe that has a defensive midfield destroyer as its #10.

De Gea deserves to play for a winning team, he'll have the biggest chance of his life at United. I thank him for at least rejecting offers as a kid, developing at Atlético, wear the jersey and give us two titles despite having problems to establish himself two years ago. It was also a big pleasure following his development, all the way from 2006 when he first broke through to the struggles up to winning us the Europa League and UEFA Super Cup.

May he have a long and successfull career in England.

De Gea is Atlético, through and through.

We've always had good goalkeeping coaches.

How much firepower we'll get, remains to be seen, especially with Gil Marín's debt to Marbella.

With the rumoured arrivals of Salvio and Piatti (and having Reyes already there) you can kind of relax on the creativity department. Just need a strong target man upfront ala Osvaldo and with Diego Costa as backup, that attack doesnt look all that bad.

Plus Koke and Juanfran on the basis of the half season I saw them arent exactly non-factors too at this point.

Major tinkering needed in the midfield though. Tiago, Assuncao and Raul all need to make way for atleast one creative force. Maybe we might see the real potential of Elias now!

A cookie to guess the only club in Europe that has a defensive midfield destroyer as its #10.

I don't know whether Forlan would move away. So at this moment it looks like Forlan + some X for the striker role. Arda might come in to add creativity in the left side and not Piatti. Diego Costa might be sold as he will occupy the non-EU spot.

Forlan's wages seem to be the problem. I feel its more of a push from Atleti rather than a pull from XYZ club or league for Forlan.

Personally think Diego Costa is a real doneky, a Mista who will have one flash in the pan season and then just go real shite. But selling him means the cost of replacing him so thats a headache right there.

With Lucho coming in I fully expect to see a 4-3-3 develop over time. Osvaldo/Forlan would fit like a glove in that formation as long as the midfield has a name like Arda in it.

De Gea denies agreement with Man United

Mundo Deportivo

De Gea, through his attorney, has denied that he has signed a contract with Man United and informed nothing will be decided until June 30. He is even open to the renewal of his contract with Atleti.
