Ufo back in the squad and Perea is suspended. Diego Costa is out injured. Would like to see Elias start from the first minute.

Atlético: De Gea, Ujfaluši, Perea, Domínguez, Filipe, Tiago, Koke, Reyes, Juanfran, Kun and Forlán.

A very interesting line-up, though back to the 4-4-2 again where we'll most likely lose the midfield, hopefully not. Koke is starting again, I would've liked to see Elías play as well..oh well, at least Juanfran is starting. I just hope Filipe is 100% ready though.

Btw, Kun and Forlán will be forced to play much better defensively tonight, meaning; they'll have to pressure the opponent, one has to drop down so we'll defend in a 4-2-3-1-formation and attack in a 4-4-2 which turns into 4-2-4.

Mario and Elías are starting, not Koke and Juanfran, freaking Marca.

1-0 Reyes

Finally!

Atlético wanted to win this game more and we managed to do it by scoring the vital second goal. Brilliant play from Filipe and Elías, a great little chip by Kun as well. The third is also some brilliance from Reyes and Forlán finally gets his goal.

We should've won 5-1 or something, missed loads of chances.

What we have always known

We have always known Atleti are capable of beating the top teams, it is just a shame it has taken so long into the season to do it, and in a situation where the coach needs to catch up 12 points and 4 positions on the table to keep his job.

Perea suspended, hey? Please give him a life ban!

Excellent second half. Good goals from Forlan and Aguero.

Reyes was your overall best player, but I must say that Tiago was tremendous. Dominated the midfield, was calm and cool in possession all game long, and really dictated your tempo to the wings and attack. Excellent game from him.

Tiago's contribution was key for Atlético to actually get a hold of Borja Valero and Villarreal's central midfield. Quique also did his job, meaning he forced one of Forlán and Agüero to drop down deeper so the team would defend with five players in the middle, this in the end made things more complicated for Villarreal as Borja Valero had to go down lower and get the ball. Props to Quique because he did mention how Agüero and Forlán don't do their job defensively in terms of pressing and positioning..which is so damn annoying.

Godín was tremendous in defence, so aggressive and always ready to intercept the ball. Filipe..well, he was the Filipe we all know, fantastic interplay with Elías on Kun's goal.

I dont know about second to Messi but he really is a great dribbler, i would say top 5 for sure. He just oozes class when he has the ball at his feet.
