Liga BBVA | J24 | Zaragoza vs Atlético de Madrid

Finally we won thanks to Kun' goal. I loved the short interview of Kun after the game.

Leo kept Zaragoza in the first half and they hit the bar 2 times almost at the end of the match.

Raul Garcia looks good in this DM position again exceling for the second week in succession. Koke was good today and was much involved in the attack.

Best game in ages!

The best Atleti have played for months, although Forlan was very quiet.
Atleti unlucky not to score in the first half, but that luck leveled out at the end of the match, with Zaragoza hitting the crossbar twice in two minutes.

By all reports, Quique's arse was on the line in this game, after 5 consecutive defeats. Interesting comment on the commentary, Atleti have conceded twice as many goals when Godin has played, compared to when he hasn't been in the team.

If there is one thing that highlights the disappointment of this season, its has to be the disappointing effect that Godin has had since moving into the central defensive role. Also, Elias, fair enough he only played ten minutes, but he needs to do something special soon to actually prove he is worth 9 million. As he along with Godin, could be very expensive failures.

No sign of Atleti slowing down on the transfer activity, Atleti linked to Man City's David Silva;

Manchester City attacking midfielder David Silva (25) would welcome the chance to return to La Liga and Atletico Madrid are interested in signing him at the end of the season.

Kun's goal

Great goal, I thought Kun had wasted the chance, but to see Kun run 3 metres faster than the Zaragoza defender run 1 metre to the ball was magical. Why Kun is so special, little speedy gonzales.

Agüero is a lovely figure..but when will he learn to shoot the ball instead of dribbling past three players when he's supposed to fire off a shot? It's become even more ridicolous these days, he should've at least have scored two goals yesterday.

Atlético started very well, we were much better in the first 35-40 minutes and should've scored then. Zaragoza were harmless..until Gabi's shot. Second half wasn't as good, some of our players got tired, we got the winning goal and Zaragoza hit the crossbar twice. Still, three points are three points, but we need to finish off these type of games earlier.

Atlético will not sell Agüero, however, Forlán will be sold.

Yes I agree Forlan looks like a sure thing to be gone in summer, and judging by his attitude so far this season that would not be the worst thing if we can get a big sum for him, Where he will go? Im not sure, I have a feeling Tottenham

Do you really believe that no one tried to sign Forlán after the World Cup?

Don't believe everything you hear the players say. Redknapp btw confirmed that Spurs made a good offer for Diego..but Atlético refused to let him go. I think it was in the region of €20 million which is terrifick considering his age and current form, we should've simply have said yes, but then again, we would've been stuck with the fantastic Diego Costa..
