Part of what you're saying is right, Ram, we should've made an effort to keep the ball instead of hitting it long as soon as they started their high pressure. The goal weren't really special and I think Atlético have handled them rather well from a tactical point of view. The players are standing right but they always seem to win the ball in crucial moments which is a problem and has to get solved. The players should know that Messi will go that way on the first goal, Paulo basically blocks Filipe who's about to stop Messi from shooting while the second goal is so lucky.
Atlético have to put away the few chances the team manages to create and the set pieces have to improve a lot. We're never going to beat a team like this away from home if we don't improve on dead ball situations offensively, that's where Barcelona should struggle. We also need to pass the ball a lot faster, there was a good improvement in the last ten minutes of the first half where we suddenly started going forward because that feeling of "making misstakes" dissappeared.
Perhaps we should've started Juanfran since he's good at keeping the ball at his feet, we need those type of players.
