Dear Señor Forlán!

Week after week you are performing like someone who doesn't want any more.

We all now what you are capable for but come on, you are not doing your best, obviously, as we all can see.

Week by week you are making interviews which are slapping the fans in their face.

Yesterday you said: "Estoy contento en el Atlético, pero también estaba contento en el Villarreal"

I am happy/satisfied at Atlético, but I was also happy/satisfied at Villarreal.

YOU KNOW WHAT?!

Shut the **** off or

**** OFF ... Go and leave the club ... better sooner as later.

Thank you very much!

And he is now the captain too. I think he should give more better answers than trying to be too stratight forward or whatever he thinks.

I really don't see anything wrong with him wanting to leave if a good offer comes in, we cash in and sign a younger striker for the future. Forlán has been a great servant so if anything, he deserves it. He did bring us a title after so many years, plus he's a professional and not a guy who "loves" clubs, respect for that.

Btw, we should sign Alexis Sánchez as his replacement. That guy oozes class, plus he's very versatile.

i love forlan but is also pissing me off with the bullshit he says all the time. If somebody want to pay 20 million then sell him because is not going to be the same player anymore.

Previously known as Maximiliano.

Aupa Atleti !!!!

Yo me voy al Manzanares
al estadio Vicente Calderon
donde acuden a millares
los que gustan del futbol de emocion
Porque luchan como hermanos
defendiendo su colores
en un juego noble y sano
derrochando coraje y corazon
Atleti, Atleti, Atletico de Madrid...

Real =
Barca =

Forlán: “It has never crossed my mind to leave”
atleticofans.com | 28.01.11

Reports in the Spanish media earlier this week suggested that Atlético striker Diego Forlán wanted to join Real Madrid this winter transfer window. The player has now spoke to AS and denied those claims, assuring fans that he has never thought about going anywhere else.

“It’s true that (Real) Madrid called Miguel Ángel Gil and he told them that I wasn’t for sale, rejecting the offer they had made,” Forlán said. “Then (Gil Marín) contacted my representative to tell him what had happened and to let him know of the decision that had been made.”

When asked if he would have been open to a move across town, the two-time Pichichi winner said, “I’m fine here. I don’t think about the future. Plus, no matter what I say, it will be interpreted incorrectly.

“What I want is for Atlético to qualify for the Champions League. Those who know me know what I think.”

Much has been made about our No. 7′s poor form this season, and his level of commitment is routinely called into question.

“There’s always all kinds of talk,” he said. “I’m very calm and my commitment is the same as always. Just because I’ve had a bad moment doesn’t mean that I’m less committed, I always try to score a lot of goals.”

Speculation about the 31-year-old’s departure has been rampant as the transfer window nears its final hours. The World Cup Golden Ball winner wanted to make it clear that it is the media that is behind all the rumours.

“It’s more the press that looks for my exit. I’m very comfortable. I’ve been here for three years and it has never crossed my mind to leave.

“You (the media), are the ones responsible for making all the noise. We have to focus on getting ourselves ahead. It’s a big club, from the capital, and you have to fill up pages and hours of radio.

“My statements are never considered. It seems as if people know more about me than I do about myself.”

Forlán was cautious about Sunday’s upcoming match against Basque outfit Athletic Bilbao.

“It will be complicated,” he said. “They play well and have a great aerial game. They’re a very strong opponent.”

The striker wanted to communicate his loyalty to the team’s colours ahead of Sunday’s game-day festivities in celebration of “100 Years of Red and White Pride” at the Vicente Calderón.

“If the fans are on top of you, it’s for a reason,” he said. “The first ball I touch I want it to be a goal and if the people react against me, that’s up to them, but the people that know me know that I will always defend this shirt.”
