LigaBBVA | J1 | Club Atlético de Madrid - Sporting Gijón

Forgot to make a thread.

2-0 to Atlético after goals by Jurado and Forlán, could've and should've perhaps have been more, though we've given away rather easy chances as well. Agüero's run on the second was just..well, out of this world, it's as if he was playing a video-game just before and decided; "This is what I'll do!"..

Let's see if we can keep it up.

Aguero and Reyes are looking good in the first 2 matches I have seen. And Assuncao is in his usual best.

I was just about to make a thread. Good thing I refreshed the page.

A refreshing Atletico tonight that continues the good form from the UEFA super cup. Sporting doesn't put much of a fight though despite the few chances.

I think I'm becoming De Gea's fan. The kid is so calm!

Nice showing by the boys in the first half. Hopefully they'll keep the foot on the gas pedal in the second half. One question though. Why is our 12 ME left back not starting? Is he hurt?

He got injured just before the Inter Milan match. Think he is still not fully recovered to play 90 mins. I am expecting him to come in around 70th minute.

Yo me voy al Manzanares
al estadio Vicente Calderon
donde acuden a millares
los que gustan del futbol de emocion
Porque luchan como hermanos
defendiendo su colores
en un juego noble y sano
derrochando coraje y corazon

I'm not a big Reyes fan but the guy is playing great in this game. Assuncao is a rock in the middle and what else can be said about Forlan? The man's a stud.

4-0 and it looked just too easy as Simao scored a good out striking it from outside the box.

Nice way to start the season. Hopefully Mr. Hyde doesn't show up next game.
