Atlético's capable of everything.
First of all, we as fans need patience with our new additions. Our defence will not improve right away because we've signed new players, they need to get to know each other better. Atlético's lacking a proper right-back and it'll most likely be a problem if we don't sign Fanni, which doesn't seem likely at this point.
In order to have a better season this year, the team will have to become a lot more consistent, eliminate concentration lapses which we've seen in pre-season and be effective. The biggest problem early last season before Quique came was the fact that our players weren't effective enough and in the end, it became a huge psychological barriere they had to overcome under Quique.
Away form has to improve too, we're way too fragile when playing away from home.
I have zero expectations, just hope that Atlético will be able to fight for a CL-spot and continue doing well in Europa League and Copa del Rey. I think we should be trying to defend Europa League though, we're the reigning champions after all.
