Europa League - Final - vs Fulham

Fulham Boss Roy Hodgson: UEFA Should Consider Delaying Europa League Final

Do you think UEFA is going to delay the Final? I don't think so, maybe Fulham might travel by train or bus like Barcelona in the UCL semifinal. Atlético has took off this afternoon to avoid the ash cloud.

Good luck chaps. It's getting a bit annoying, all this criticism La Liga is getting, so go out there and do a little to put it right.

It's Spanish!

Aupa is usually used in the North of Spain specially in Basque Country. As you said is like "Vamos!" or "Go ahead!".

SERGIO AGUERO: ATLETICO MADRID DESERVE TO BEAT FULHAM

SERGIO AGUERO last night revved up the Europa League final by saying Atletico Madrid deserve to beat Fulham because of their pedigree.

The Spanish side won the old Cup Winners’ Cup in 1962 and were in the Champions League this season.

Striker Aguero, 21, said: “If we analyse the history and the statistics in Europe, Atletico are superior to Fulham.

“This is no guarantee in the final, I respect Fulham because they have defeated Juventus, Wolfsburg and Hamburg.

“They will fight for the ball, but they are not Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal.”

IMO, the worst of all for Atletico is to be labeled as clearly favourites to win this game. Of course they are, given the squad Atletico have, but these things are dangerous, if they don't keep the feet on the floor.

BTW, bienvenido Wario, a ver si no hace mucho frio en Neptuno esta noche y os dais un chapuzcón.

Good luck atleticos

I don't think we are labeled as favourites for this game as Fulham has reached the final in a more deserved and emphatic way than us. Their type of game is very dangerous for us especially the set-pieces.

Well, I suppose the vast majority see Atlético as favourites, but I don't agree with that. Fulham is a very well organized team that I wanted to avoid by all means and we'll probably struggle against them. As far as I'm concerned, it's 50-50, both teams are in a final and no one has any injuries meaning they'll be able to field their best players. The bookmakers may see us as favourites, but I wouldn't.

Atléti should go out there and respect their opponents, but also play the way they know and not be scared of failing, focus should be on succeeding instead, believing in your capacities.

The club just has more spectacular attacking players which shouldn't be a measure for being a favourite.

Well, at least, here in Spain, the newspapers, TVs and radios don't consider the defeat as an option. They talk about Fulham as a kind of Valladolid and they consider the defeat as almost impossible.

I don't know if this is because it's the euphoria for the first final in a long time or what... but some people talk as if it was done already. At least, here in Madrid.

Personally, I don't think it won't be that easy. Normally, the finals aren't an easy thing and just a stupid error can harm the "favourite"... it's only one game.

Considering the squads of the 2 teams, I have no doubts that Atletico is superior. Now they have to prove it.
