Donis Avdijaj

Many of you heard of him but he deserves his own thread. A top prospect and we may have a good chance of him.

I don't see it happening, but I like the odds much better than previous players in the past.

Not half as good as Januzaj is still better pretty much than all our current players

What they have in common is that they're both coldblooded. Most Albanians dont have that.

If hes anything decent I doubt hes gonna come. If hes ok and Loew tells him there will be no space, maybe.

More hope than Januzaj, but am still not getting hopes up.

It's why I like the odds a little better.

There are good odds of him playing for Albania when he's 26+. But playing for Albania before that is a slim to none chance.

This will be another Januzaj saga if he's good. Or another Mavraj/Mustafi saga if he's decent.

Anyway, still a great thread. I think Albanians learned not to bet all your chips on one dream. There's alot more like this kid that should receive more attention.

Has anyone noticed no traitors have been able to regulars at their clubs.

Shaqiri, Xhaka, Behrami, Dzemaili, all subs non/regulars.

That's not just the "traitors", that's a big portion of most Albanian players who play in big leagues (Rama, Basha). Albanian NT players that are active for their clubs usually play for Division 2 teams or mid-tier leagues like Switzerland.

Avdijaj is a monster. I think he will reach Januzajs Level, which is bad for us, because Germany need some new Strikers.

Avdijaj is not physical enough to play as a lone striker (only 1.72 tall), his natural position is behind the striker, which in Germany they have Muller, Reus, Schurrle, Kroos, etc.. etc... that can occupy his position.

But yeah if he gets even half as good as Januzaj we can kiss him goodbye.

I will delete this thread in about 12 hours. Until he declares himself for Albania no point in talking for a guy who is declared for the 4th Reich.

I agree with the Doc. He speaks a little albanian and everyone thinks he is the second coming of Gjergj Kastrioti or Isa Boletini. He is a gloryhunter, like most of albanians. No way he will play for us.

I don't have a sig.

Could he be the first Albanian since Skanderbeg to hunt glory with...Albania?

Who is Skanderbeg? Is he like the alter ego of Skenderbe?
