Football around the world

Suggested by Tulipani_Zi

Discuss football, from international tournaments (euro, wc, conf. cup, asian cup, african cup etc) to foreign leagues (epl, spl, bundesliga, serie a etc).

My thoughts on today's qualifying games:
Croatia's loss at home was the biggest shock of this round. Scotland was the first Euro team to have been mathematically eliminated.
Montenegro's loss was shocking because of the result.
Glad Bosnia looks like it has booked its place for Brazil.
Belgium should be the European dark horse in next year's World Cup.

Switzerland vs Cyprus about to start in 10 or so minutes.

Not really impressed with their lineup. Only Shaq and Behrami are starting from the Albanians. Surprised Dzemaili isn't starting as I think he's their best central midfielder. They are desperately missing a forward and I don't think they are better than us at all.

but they are cause they don't choke like we do. if cyprus could get another draw from them it would be golden for us

And now what will become of us, without any barbarians?
Those people were some kind of solution.

Yea man, same here! so damn close. Greatly lowers the chances to have the most epic game in Albania history (Swiss @ Albania, each team fighting for the number 1 spot).

I want the Swiss to have qualified and have demolished all the other teams by the time they play us and either Shaqo or Behrami to score a bicycle kick own goal at Qemal Stafa.

Confederations Cup: Mexico Vs. Italy on ESPN staring in about 10 minutes.

De Biasi is supposed to be at the game to watch Italy.

Mexico played really well on the 1st half playing on the wings and dos santos robbing Italy's defender of the ball but on the 2nd half they sort of faded due to Italy keeping the ball, Baloteli was being out muscled by the mexico defenders but did just enough to burst through to shoot on target but anyway Italy has got nothing on Albania :dielaugh:

I wish Albania had a attacker like Hernandez. One day..... One day....

That kind of player will make all the difference.

Albania relies on Centre Forward and have big presence up front and is decently strong at keeping the ball, a bit like bogdani
