Ashtu si edhe njė sezon mė parė, Shqipėria nuk ka pasur ndonjė koeficient tė lartė. Kėshtu, Shqipėria ėshtė renditur e 43 ta nė Europė, me njė koeficient prej 1.210 pikėsh. Me kėtė koeficient, si zakonisht, Shqipėria do tė paraqitet nė Europė me 4 ekipe. I sigurt ėshtė fakti qė ekipi kampion do tė luajė nė Ligėn e Kampioneve, dy skuadra nė Kupėn UEFA, ndėrsa ekipi i tretė nė Intertoto.

It's wrong to write they're gonna play in Champions league when they're gonna qualify in first round as an unseeded team...

It's like saying the WC qualifications are THE World Cup.. thats way in England they say 2 first in champions league and the 3:rd and 4:th qualifies... not to mention they start as seeded team in the 3:rd round meanwhile Albania's case is the worst possible..

The draw for the 2006 UEFA Intertoto Cup has taken place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The identities of the participants are not yet known, but the possible pairings of member states has created some interesting ties.

Competition overhaul
The summer competition has been overhauled since last season when RC Lens, Hamburger SV and Olympique de Marseille each prevailed to earn a place in the UEFA Cup. From this year, three rounds will be played instead of five, with the eleven victorious teams from the Intertoto Cup final round going through to the UEFA Cup second qualifying round. The 49 participating associations will have one place in principle, meaning there will be no repeat of France's two-pronged triumph last season.

Seeded teams
The identity of the clubs involved will not be confirmed until the end of the 2005/06 season but the draw has been made, pairing associations. The first round, which will be played over two legs on 17/18 and 24/25 June, sees 26 nations vie for a place in the second round, when 15 more sides, drawn from the likes of Ukraine, Russia and Scotland, enter the fray. Those matches take place on 1/2 and 8/9 July, before the eight seeded contestants come in for the decisive third round on 15/16 and 22 July.

Intriguing fixtures
The latter round could throw up a number of intriguing fixtures, and if Turkey's representative beat Hungary in the second round, their reward will be a short trip to Greece. France, who have supplied more winners than any other nation since the competition started in 1995, could face Ukraine.

I wish its Vllaznia, at least they have lots of fans that would support them. Dinamo has a better team but dont have even 200 fans.

I don't think we can get past a Cypriot team...their league is better then ours...with a lot more money in it. Anorthosis beat Trabzonspor last yr!

Red And Black cypris league is not better than albanian league
Tirana would kill all these teams for sure....I remember when we beat Apollon Limassol...Same with Elbasani, Dinamo...We are much much better

I just doubt that.

I think the Albanian league is underrated...for eg: I think its slightly better then the Slovenian, Baltic, Belarussian, Macedonian leagues...and about the same as the Hungarian, Bosnian etc. Our teams can compete w/ croatian and bulgarian league teams as shown by Dinamo Tirana beating Varteks at home..and SK Tirana putting up a very good, though unrewarded performance against CSKA sofia (which beat lpool in the next leg away).

But certain leagues w/ more money are just better. The Cypriot league, I believe is better. Anorthosis beat Trabzonspor...and theyre players are paid better..better infrastructure...etc..etc..

who cares if they beat trabzonspor. Even if Tirana played them at their best and I mean to give 100% they might win. Any team can win man. Our players are just lazy. Trust me you dont know half the shit behind it. Have you ever been to Tirana's practice. You see X5 coming in, brand new Mercedes, Cadillacs, Porsche, I think Tirana's owner even has a Rolls Royce phantom now. And one day before practice they were making fun of Merkoci because his Mercedes was 2004. They are all millionares man they dont really care that much anymore.

Now you say you are "much much better". Lets look at the facts.

*Official UEFA rankings of countries' club teams playing in the Euro club tournaments in the last 5 years:

Out of 52 countries, Cypriot teams are ranked 29th while Albanian teams are ranked 43rd.

*Official UEFA rankings of Euro club teams in the past 5 years:

#218 - APOEL Nicosia (Cyprus)
#221 - Anorthosis Famagusta (Cyprus)
#228 - Olympiakos Nicosia (Cyprus)
Albanian teams are ranked so low they are unranked.

*Now, every single time an Albanian team, in a European club tournament, has faced a Cypriot team, the Albanian team lost EVERY time. That occured FOUR times. Observe the results:

You mentioned that your team beat Apollon Limmasol. What you fail to mention to the readers, in an attempt to misinform, is that Apollon Limmasol KNOCKED OUT your team:

U.E.F.A. Cup (2002)
First Round
KS Tirana (Alb)- Apollon Limassol (Cyp) 3-2 (the ONLY victory that an Albanian team has against a Cypriot team)
Apollon Limassol (Cyp) - KS Tirana (Alb) 3-1

U.E.F.A. Cup (2001)
First Round
KS Tomori (Alb) - Apoel Nicosia (Cyp) 2-3
Apoel Nicosia (Cyp) - KS Tomori (Alb) 2-0

Intertoto Cup (2001)
First Round
Vllaznia Shkoder (Alb) - NEA Salamis of Famagusta (Cyp) 1-2
NEA Salamis of Famagusta (Cyp) - Vllaznia Shkoder (Alb) 4-1

UEFA Cup (1995)
First Round
Teuta Durres (Alb) - Apollon Limmasol (Cyp) 1-4
Apollon Limmasol (Cyp) - Teuta Durres (Alb) 4-2

*Now, in the FIFA rankings, Albania is ranked #88 while Cyprus is #98, which is is not something to jump for joy about. However, since the rankings were implemented in 1993, Cyprus has reached as high as #58 while the highest ranking ever for Albania was #72.

plato the Albanian league has changed so much since we played cypriotic teams and even though they have won those games, many of them have been fixed believe me. I dont care about the ranking I have seen the quality of football and the Albanian league stands much higher. If the Albanian presidents could do better managing Albanian teams would be much stronger but they never sign our players for long times. After they become good enough they go outside. All those statistics mean nothing to me, just like the FIFA statistics. I know the Albanian league head to toe.

I was in the stadium when we beat Apollon

So, if the games were fixed, as you claim, then the game you saw, where they won, was fixed (so it shouldn't count), and the Albanians sold out to the Greek Cypriots 4 times?.

The rankings and stats do mean something because they are based on results. Results speak loudest and are independent of bias unlike your opinion that Albanian league is better.

Also, if Albania wins this year, its because they improved since years past. However, if Cyprus wins this year, its because it was "fixed".

"If the Albanian presidents could do better managing Albanian teams would be much stronger". Since they are not, that right there is a refelction of your league.
