What a shame for the U.K. ! They should be banned out of Iraq for this. :depress:

i could think of many reasons why UK soldiers should be banned from Iraq
and this would feature pretty low down on the list.

I'm not condoning it, justify it or approve of it in any way. Just that there are many, many other things to consider before saying that they should leave because of this .

One could think this is an everyday event - with structural causes such as the dehumanisation of everybody in a different uniform as important factor in an army training - done by a bunch of macho's who weren't the smartest and most civilised of the pack to begin with.

But that would be wrong: just like all the other similar scandals... it is a surprising isolated incident , done by brave soldiers who are there to bring freedom and justice.

We can bomb the world to pieces, but we can't bomb it into peace!

As for these soldiers? they really made their parents proud, didn't they? The soldiers in the movie "soldier" (with Kurt Russel) was more humane than this and they had been soldiers since they where young kids...

The behaviour is disgraceful, but is this any different to any occupying army anywhere in the world?

No, but at least other occupying forces don't go around claiming that they're freedom-bearing angels whose image is tarnished by the "isolated incidents" by few "bad apples".

I bet you were delighted to see the footage of those poor kids getting beaten.

I know how much you hate muslims, it's so obvious from all your opinions regarding anything to do with Islam. Don't even try to deny it Flo.

I don't take offense from ignorant people so you can insult me all you like.

Tell me my shoe size then since you think you know me so well......You couldn't hit water if you fell off a boat judging by the assumptions you've made above.

I'm tired of the whining, belly-aching, and moaning that region likes to spew all the time. In addition, them always pointing their index finger to the west. They should look in the mirror first before blaming anyone else or burning a flag or torching an embassy because the peception they want us to have of them goes to hell in hand basket over some stupid cartoon uproar. Which I don't agree with printing by the way.

Now you can take that into your pipe and smoke it brother.

Whats with the one-sidedness of it all?

The "occupying forces" are indeed a problem. Theyre a bunch of kids and lack the maturity to deal with these kinds of situations. As far as I know, these things are indeed isolated incidents, so while they need to be dealt with, they are hardly a major epidemic like some people wish they could make it out to be.

The kids however deserve it. I bet Arab dads beat their kids more than that. The lesson- Dont mess with soldiers who for the most part are trying to make life better for you.

But something needs to be done about these soldiers abusing their powers like this.
