New tomb found in Valley of the Kings

A new tomb was opened in the Valley of the Kings today by a team of archaeologists led by the University of Memphis. It is the first time that a new tomb has been discovered in the Valley since Carter opened that of Tutankhamun in 1922. They found 5 mummies and some artifacts but nothing near the scale that stunned the world with the opening of Tutankhamun's tomb.

Tutankhamun was just mind-blowing;just a visual re-count of the ancient egyptian lifestyle...oh btw, have they found the the secret chamber under the sphinx that was presumed to have knowledge about the human-race?

I haven't heard anything about a secret chamber being found under the Sphinx. Obviously, the Sphinx is at the forefront of various whacky theories from people like Graham Hancock although so far none of them seem to have been proved.

Yes, if all these whackos were right, the Sphinx would have collapsed because of the too many secret chambers beneath it.

Nice to see there is more to discover in the Valley of the Kings.

“But we're a university! We have to have a library!" said Ridcully. "It adds tone. What sort of people would we be if we didn't go into the library?"

"Students," said Senior Wrangler morosely.”

Yes, I'm hoping more can come out of there. Not necessarily big treasure hoards like that of Tutankhamun but finds that shed yet more light on the civilisation as a whole.
