Danish Product Guide

This is for anyone interested in supporting the Danish people and their economy.

I think it's important because now they're fighting for the thing we had to fight for..freedom.

--------------------------------------------------

I know that this thread has no directly croatianrelated material, but since I was delighted by seeing JureM´s new logo I´ve tried to create a list of danish companyproducts, which I think that you might be able to find wherever you are in the world ( if you want or need these things of course), according to the arabboycutt of Norway and my country, because we stand hard up for the right to free speech these days:

NovoNordisk and Lundbeck ( medicins of many different kinds, both companies are leading in developing of some of their products world wide)

Carlsberg and Tuborg ( Beers...if some are wondering ;-) not the strongest or the most exeptional taste, but they are good ordinary beers, that could be enjoyed by most people in any circumstances)
If you´re beelover and would like to go far in your searching I can personally recommend beers like Hancock and Ale no 16 from the Refsvingebrewery.

Aalborg akvavit or Svendborg Akvavit ( snaps some kind of brandy similar to slivovica and very populair in the nordic countries)

Lurpak ( butter)

tulip ( all kind of danish meat - mostly pork. Especially danish bacon is excellent)

lego ( toy - and why not try and go to Legoland with a little fellow of yours one day....or do it by yourself its never to late to admit, that there is a kid inside you somewhere, who wants to come out and play from time to time)

mærsk ( its a very big shippingcompany that goes worldwide, and has a good reputation for raising its employees. They say, that if you´ve been working for that company once, you will never have problems by getting a job again anywhere in the world

havati ( nice cheese - my friend told me. actually there are many sorts of danish cheese, but I´m not a cheeselover, so I cant mention any to recomment at the moment)

B&O ( hi-fi music amplifyers etc. very cool design...but a little expensive)
grundfoss (Worldwide MøDanish manufacturer of a wide range of centrifugal pumps and systems for water applications in industry, irrigation, heating and wastewater treatment.)

Danfoss (manufacturer of Hydraulic Motors, Pumps, Hydrostatic Steering, Proportional and Directional Valves)

vestas (øDesign and manufacture of wind turbines. 'The worlds largest manufacturer of wind turbines. Here I´m proud to say, that I come from a country, that is leading in developing alternative energyforms. I hope that soon we´ll be able to use it better, so we arent so depented on oil especially from the middleeast anymore...by the way we have oil and big naturalgasresources too. not as much as the norwegians of course but enough to provide ourselve and export it too)

danish design ( furnitures, lamps etc)
danish pastry ( bread here is nice)
danish crown (..and the coockies too)
anthon berg ( fine chokolate)
toms chokolate ( Snickers-Marsbar-yankeebar etc..)
Arla ( milkproducts of any kind)

probably many more companies, which I will put them on the list when I found out.

some more knowledge here perhaps:

have a nice days guys

Ljubo, you should add "Hummel" which is a famous sportswear atleast here in the Nordic countries...they have designed the Danish NT shirt for years until recently when they changed to Adidas.

Poor Denmark, all this because of one cartoon. one ****ing cartoon.

We as Croatians must empathize for the Danish because they are going through something that is very similar to our situation a few years back.

I will proudly buy Danish.

Same thing happened last year, there was a popular show here in America but in one episode it depicted a Islamic family involved in terrorist funding and they got an outrage over the whole thing

The reaction was totally over the top but there was no need for those cartoons either. They knew they would get a reaction like this..

I agree...sorry Ljubo, but I don't see this as freedom of speech, it's hate-mongering and don't forget that we Catholics are often the victims of it as well. There's no excuse for burnign down embassies but there's also no excuse for spewing hate and calling it freedom of speech.

At the end of the day who cares what anybody draws, its like they try and find an excuse to turn into pre-historic animals. Other religions cop stuff like this but do they riot?

How? In what way? Would catholics start rioting?

Somehow i think not. Over a cartoon? No. IMO there is a culture within the muslim faith that thinks this sort of thing is right, rioting and whatever. But really do you know what it does? It just keeps adding fuel to the fire. Now people are just confirming what they thought might be. Too much violence.

Ps. Im not saying the picture was a good thing, but for farks sake, its a cartoon. No need for this shit. There are other ways....

If I'm right, muslims find cartoons and caricatures of Muhamed very offensive and what have danish do, they made muslims very, very angry 'cause this is attack on their faith and their religion..

if I would be muslim, I would find that offensive aswell and be very angry too..

Come on CK, there's nearly 2 billion Muslims in this world and how many of them rioted? You're not helping matters by acting like a tiny, tiny, tiny portion of a population represents the whole.

i should be flattered?

Ma, i still dont think its right. Violence over a cartoon, which lets face it, cartoons are there to take the piss out of everyone and thing. Its like we have to conform with there beliefs otherwise theres gonna be a riot or something. They have to learn to live with others and accept that people are able to voice opinions about anything and you have to sit there and cop it otherwise youre an imbecile in my eyes. I fu.cking hate religion because of shit like this. Its just all fu.cked. I predict a war in the next 20 -40 years. I seriously see one up ahead.

Imagine there was no religion! John Lennon was a gun!

CK, you say it is just a cartoon, but what purpose does it serve? Just to stir and cause trouble.. To make it worse, papers from all over the world printed it..

There was absolutely no need for it.. Everybody should know that the Muslim population would get very angry at this and I don't blame them for getting angry.. Burning and rioting is too much though and misdirected..

They got the reaction they wanted and now they can talk about how uncivilised the whole muslim population is.. I see some of you are falling for it..

Well there you go. Thats why i think they are fu.cked. Would catholics, jews, hindu's or whatever have done the same thing? No. Im not agreeing that the cartoon was the right thing to do, BUT....people must act civilised. I know not every muslim participated in this riot but some did.
