Why was General Kevin P. Byrnes sacked?

The fourth in command who was due to retire in November is sacked because he was having a affair?

How bizarre

I googled his name and found a little information, but it appears the facts are still under lock and key. Until something more is released, it is pointless to speculate. There are multiple scenarios that could lead to this.

Yeah, we know **** all and if they say it was because he cheated on his wife then it was for all we know, there is probably much more to this but who cares, they are all ****ing around, all they need is a less revealing excuse like this to get rid of him and ruin his name.

Probably a prick but he must of really really upset some people upstairs.

Ummmm......yeah. If you are essentially fired from a position, a position that you are schedueled to retire from in a short amount of time, it's usually safe to assume that the fired person pissed somebody off.

Maybe he's gay.

Maybe he's sleeping with another military man's wife.

Maybe he's sleeping with a spy.

Maybe he's told GWB that Miller Lite is in fact not less filling, but tastes great.

The fact that this man is a four star general makes the story noteworthy, but the crime itself is not overly so. The regulations of the UCMJ are well spelled out, and the big ones are mentioned periodcially to the military members (Adultry is one of them).

I was a low ranking cook in the national guard. And I knew that an officer is taking a chance with his or her career if they have an affair. The fact that a rule or law can be twisted is nothing new. Office politics are very in play in the military.

Maybe, we won't know the real story, btw he was already seperated from his wife and this woman wasn't in the army, it wasn't like there were rumours, just came out of the blue, anyway like you say he could of been f*cking cats on camera for all we know.

We can speculate forever, but we'll never know the real reason this guy was discharged. Like an earlier poster mentioned, the politics within the army run deep.
