Ummmm......yeah. If you are essentially fired from a position, a position that you are schedueled to retire from in a short amount of time, it's usually safe to assume that the fired person pissed somebody off.
Maybe he's gay.
Maybe he's sleeping with another military man's wife.
Maybe he's sleeping with a spy.
Maybe he's told GWB that Miller Lite is in fact not less filling, but tastes great.
The fact that this man is a four star general makes the story noteworthy, but the crime itself is not overly so. The regulations of the UCMJ are well spelled out, and the big ones are mentioned periodcially to the military members (Adultry is one of them).
I was a low ranking cook in the national guard. And I knew that an officer is taking a chance with his or her career if they have an affair. The fact that a rule or law can be twisted is nothing new. Office politics are very in play in the military.
