Morts @ ESPN

I thought we could ask Tom some questions about his new employment (1st one: is it part-time?) if he's okay with it.

How did you end up @ ESPN, Tom? It's not like I don't think you deserve it - I used to study&work in the media myself. The story itself regarding how it all started should be interesting. Care to share some thoughts on this matter?

I know very little atm, to be honest. It's just for the Euro's. Every country will have a correspondent and I've been chosen as the Hungarian one. Will involve match reports, match previews, a few "setting the scene" articles before the tournament and maybe a bit of TV depending how important the game is.

A few people I know recommended me for it and they contacted me a few weeks ago to write something for them as a taster and on Tuesday I found out I got it (I bet no one else applied tbh!)

I'm sure they saw HungarianFootball.com as well!

So basically Hungary performing great is not only something you'll be cheering for, but also your jól felfogott érdek.

Haha, pontosan. Like really is. Not the reason I do it though, I just enjoy it tbh

I'm also on a show called Viva Le France, a preview show for the Euro's which is being broadcast around the world (probably on Eurosport in Hungary). I think that's supposed to be broadcast in April. I did the interview in November after the Norway game in Oslo

What an exciting gig! Double the fun because Magyarorszag looks like they've got a legitimate shot in the tournament.

Is your boss it anyone we've seen on television, one of these soccer anchor-analysts on espn?

Nope, no one exciting like that, just one of the general editors. One of the "men with no name" who do all the work in the background

Btw I just had some facetime on Duna TV in the Baptist church organized Bapista Magazin. It was about youth groups (what they are, what they're good for etc.). I can link it in if anyone is interested.

The voice of the girl in the beginning is bad for some reason. I'm the guy with the headphone tie.
