Happy Hanukkah to you. My Christmas will be spent alone in cold England... not much happiness about it. But I will be thinking of people I love (including people here) and it will warm my heart.

Kellemes ünnepeket mindenkinek!

I'm fine happy to have you back

I saw the Arsenal thread, indeed very weird. That's why I try and keep out of that forum and wait for you to come here

It's so difficult, getting this epilepsy under wraps, however. A new drug has been introduced so we'll see about it. As things stand, if I take one fit at home, I don't have to return to the Alfred, but any more than that, well... I dearly hope I'm not pulled back again.

Seizures have never proved overly dangerous; frustrating more than anything.

Fingers crossed for you Jeff....Hope the new medication can help you. You deserve some good luck. I hope this new drug can 'turn a corner' for you. I'm really glad you made it home for Christmas

Happy Christmas and holidays and best wishes to you and yours.

There is a very celebrated and special American Christmas song recorded in 1953 by Eartha Kitt, now considered a masterpiece of the 1950's. This song has been covered by Maria Muldaur, Everclear, RuPaul, Taylor Horn, Madonna, Jhene, Macy Gray, Natalie Merchant, Faith Evans, Boney James, Kylie Minogue, The P*ssycat Dolls, Lina, LeAnn Rimes, Kellie Pickler, and Taylor Swift. This song was produced by the very best of 1950's Americana:

"....Santa baby, I'm a little afraid I really do need the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight

Santa cutie, fill my stocking with a duplex and checks
Sign your X on the line
Santa cutie, hurry down the chimney tonight....
"

If you want to be a more complete all-around sophisticated 21st century person, you gotta hear this awesome 1950's song.

For an easy $.15 cents you can download this brilliant tongue in cheek song - called Santa Baby.

Christmas is a special time, I hope it stays with us forever till the very bitter end.

It's a great thing that we in Western civilization have such rich time honored traditions like Christmas, I love this time of year it's just that I haven't seen snow in over 12 years. Man, I need go back to see my dad in Budapest next white Christmas, darn I miss the snow.

Have a Safe and Happy New Year A.D. 2009!!

Merry Christmas!

Boldog Karascony!

Seeing that fireworks photo, it reminds me of what my Dad did in 1955 on Christmas Eve. As our town is located right on the Austrian border, he stole the rockets (flares) that were trip wired right before the "hatar" fence. Our church is on a hill and as the people were walking down the hill after Midnight Mass, he let the rockets go. About a dozen multicolored rockets colored the dark sky. There was a "riado" from the border soldiers but nobody told on him.

As a 5 year old and my first fireworks display, they are still the best in my memory.

I'm afraid at that time with our horses and wagon to Sopron would be too long. We are about 21km southwest from Szombathhely, town called Szentpeterfa. No, the people who experienced WWII were the greatest. Been to Sopron twice though, nice little city.
