It's difficult for us [our family], my mother has occasionally ventured forth the option of travelling north to Bendigo,
but to be honest, it would compromise most of us in some way, shape or form. As to why, I won't go into it, private reasons.
For me personally, all I can think of of substance is a trip to the city to indulge in an occasion which is rare for me. Can't give any specifics, I haven't placed a great deal of thought into it, still it would be easy as there's lots of things to see and do.
Perhaps Iku Izakaya. It's a Japanese restaurant which excites me a great deal, especially for the architecture: sliding doors, diners kneeling on padded cushions, so on. In my head, I'd imagine the experience as stepping into Japan from Australia.
Also, sushi is my favourite food and this place would offer a greater variety than the local establishments do. Maki and nigiri I'm exposed to, and love; but I'm sure there's more forms out there.
