Many questions, especially who will shut down CR7, which tactics will Bernie choose, can we bench Pizzelli, how many goals will GG55 score...etc. etc. But one thing is certain, only a win would be a real step forward towards EURO 2016. Let's do this boys!

I can already see yedigaryan, nervous af, running around in circles and messing up every single pass after seeing ronaldo. We should definity put in karlen(injured or not) to block ronaldo instead of yed.

Definitely. Yedigaryan isn't cut out for this level of play. At least with Karlen in the middle you know you have someone who's not afraid of breaking plays and passing the ball.

Bench the president? OKKK...if it's necessary. Probably a Mkrtchyan - Pizzelli midfield duo would be better?

Kamo is in his zone every game, he doesn't even look up to take a breath, he won't care if it's Ronaldo in front of him or that fat ulisses player.

Impressive op!

Just a few little corrections in our starting line-up:

Our RB is Cédric (his family name is Soares but nobody calls him that).

Eliseu fortunately wasn't called so our LB will probably be young Raphaël Guerreiro, who plays for French Ligue 1 side Lorient and who is usually a starter in our U21 NT.

Tiago has no "h". He is not Brazilian.

Let's hope we have a good game and that both our teams will be in France in two years.

We'll be in France. Whether we will be playing or not is a different question.

Thanks though

Thank you. What's up with Coentrao btw? Is he injured or what happened that he isn't playing?

Nani and Ronaldo are their main threats offensively.

Their strikers are piss poor and their defensive setup is questionable at times especially with a 45 year old Carvalho.

If they do underestimate us, which they probably will, we can and should scorch them on the counter.

Nani is passing through one of the best moments in his career which obviously it's not good news for any team facing him.

Ricardo Carvalho is actually in a very good form and he is definitely a great improvement when compared with that moron Bruno Alves.

I don't think we can afford underestimating you as we've lost already enough points in this group. I think the way this game will develop will very much depend on the timing of the first goal.

I just hope you don't play like that horrendous Albania - 11 men behind the ball, hacking legs like pine trees and grabbing a plucky goal out of nowhere. Play football and we'll have a great game.

Form is temporary but class is permanent in Carvalho's case.

We will play defensive but we're probably not going to hack away at your players like those NBA rejects in Albania. You'll definitely see us counterattacking once the opportunity is there.

Don't get me wrong, you're still favorites but I know how wasteful Portugal can be in front of net.

Coentrao trained today with the squad in Real Madrid.

Absolutly no need to play with 3 CB, especially for Voskanyan. I think I saw more hesitations in defence since we play with 3 CB than before. I saw Arzu putting willingly the ball in corner kick because he was in panick many times.

+ when you play with 3 CB, you are more tempted to give lateral passes instead of playing forward, and with Voskanyan and Vato, it only leads to bad/dangerous passes.

Why we don't get back to 4-3-3 with Yura-Gevo-Edu in attack ?

Yup, imo we're far better with 4-2-3-1. A 3rd CB is giving us nothing, also the wingers are pretty much left alone. But knowing Bernie I'm sure he will start with his 3-5-2 again.
