FC Shirak vs. LA Galaxy friendly (2/8/14)

Well, Shirak have arrived in California and are staying in--where else?--Glendale.

If Shirak win, our community should treat the team to the In-N-Out Burger on Brand. :dielaugh:

Hopefully I'll see some of you at the game. I'll probably get the tickets tomorrow. It looks like seats along the side of the pitch are going for over $190 and the ones behind the goalkeeper are about $30.

There's going to be a great amount of Armenian fans at the game so our boys will have plenty of support. I think this will be Shirak's starting lineup, which is more than enough to put the almighty Galaxy away.
Artur Harutyunyan, Mkoyan, Kadio, Gevorg Hovhannisyan, D. Marikyan, Muradyan, Diop, Davtyan, Barikyan, Hakobyan, and Deble. Apart from that one Ivorian striker who went to Partizan, Shirak's squad is pretty much the same. It's going to be 2-0 or 2-1 for Shirak.

600K isn't too shabby..wonder if shirak can afford to bring in someone worth that much.

they seem so professional. shirak, ararat, alashkert, and gandzasar have been doing really well.

fair enough hak jan but I gotta disagree. shirak have a great lineup and honestly the galaxy are nothing. I've seen them play more times than I can count and I've never been impressed. they might have slightly better players in certain positions but there is absolutely no question that this will be a close game. i'm gnna stick to my 2-0 or 2-1 win prediction for Shirak.

in terms of signing new players and organizing training camps, indeed all of them have been doing great. but the only true professional clubs we have from what i've seen are Shirak and Alashkert. recently watched a video in which gandzasar's sporting director was being interviewed. the question was "why don't gandzasar's kits have the club's logos on them?" the idiot responded by saying "menq reklami kariq chunenq." wtf is that even supposed to mean? we need more shiraks and alashkerts in our league.

If Shirak's matchup with Partizan is anything to go off of, I'm expecting some terrible football from Shirak. 3-1 Galaxy is my prediction.

how so? shirak created chance after chance in both legs and completely outplayed Partizan at home.

Shirak played a Partizan team valued at about 10 times its price and did not lose either leg, falling on away goals. I gotta go with Michael on this one... they didn't play bad, just didn't have the last bit of quality to go through.

don't base your opinion on these clubs' lack of marketing. Armenia is relatively new to modern marketing methods. rather, look at the better scouting and purchasing they have been doing.
