Armenia's New Coach

After a good performance by Vardan I'm feeling emotional but it is what it is and we are going to get a new manager, hopefully not Rafael, I highly doubt Rubo will appoint him since it would be a moronic move.

Since Markarian just finnished his job with Peru most things speak for him, but I have never heard of the guy before and doubt his latin american style is going to fit us.

So!

Who's going to be the new manager?

Vardan wouldn't make fun of the fans like that, it would be a insult to us if we continued after he resigned in such a obvious manner.

I think Rubo will step down and be the new manager.

I think VM was a poor coach for our NT and it is a good thing he will not be back. I do not blame him too much since it was Rubo who would not let him resign earlier. It would be safe to assume that FFA has someone in line already but we dont know who yet. In order to understand how much having VM as our coach has cost us you haveto look at opportunity costs (what we gave up to keep him) and in my opinion the cost was way too high. I believe if we had a good coach we would have qualified for Euros and for the WC thus our cost was high indeed.

Hayastan or bust.

the part which is left is dealing with Rubo, and the cultural clash between Armos and his very South American mentality.

And also , the guy is 68 years old, wouldn't be surprised if he forgets all the names, optimal would be to have someone from Armenia that knows our league, our u21 and our players in his spine.

IMO, Markarian is by far the most qualified man for the job. At this point in his career, I don't think salary would be a huge consideration.

The only problem is that Markarian is very strong willed person. He doesn't take crap and that may be a problem with Rubo.

I also think that Markarian would be a great solution. But doesn't Rubo & Sergio already have a history with each other, as Rubo wanted to appoint a new coach some years ago. And Sergio refused because he had to coach both NT & Pyunik?!

So looks to me as we'll end up with Sako papik.

What about Éric Assadourian, he has been coaching France together with Blanc (?) I think I read it somewhere. But can not found any information about it now, so I think that is wrong. But I know that he has been coaching Lens, a youth team there, he was coach of Varane while Varane played in Lens.

It might be a big step from an youth team in Lens to the Armenian national team, but I he is in the right age, he is armenian, he have been playing for our national team etc...

EDIT; I was mixing Assadourian with Alain Boghossian, that's the guy I meant when I was talking about coaching the french national team. Alain Boghossian is now the Asst. Coach in French.

Anyone think we might go foreign this time? If we did, who would be a good foreign replacement?

I'll take Markarian or Boghossian or a foreign established coach. I'm just scared of the slim possibility that Nazaryan might be hired
