CL Matchday 5: Trabzonspor vs Internazionale

TRABZONSPOR vs INTERNAZIONALE
At the Avni Aker Stadium, Trabzon, Turkey
Tuesday, 22nd of November - 21:45 Turkish time

So like, Trabzon can lose this one and still be in a shot of qualification. But they have to hope that Lille and Inter also beats CSKA and Trabzon draws against Lille, then they iz in the quarterfinalss!!!! lol won't happen though.

P.S. Sneijder has been ruled out for this game.

This is what I'd be predicting so far...

Paulo Henrique - Burak Yilmaz
Alanzinho - Gustavo Colman - Didier Zokora - Serkan Balci
Marek Cech - Arkadeusz Glowacki - Giray Kacar - Ondrej Celustka
Tolga Zengin

Maicon and Lucio will probably miss out as well.

"I want to thank the fans of Trabzonspor for the reception that they gave us yesterday, including the flowers and scarves. They truly welcomed us and I was pleasantly surprised. It was really a lovely gesture, although I know that it will difficult on the pitch tomorrow when we face each other as opponents." These were the opening words from Claudio Ranieri at the press conference on the eve of Trabzonspor v Inter, the Matchday 5 meeting of the UEFA Champions League, which will be played tomorrow night at the Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium.

P.S.

Tolga Zengin
Is this guy in the Turkish NT? Volkan played the 1st leg of the playoff and then a guy named Senan I believe. Is Tolga 3rd choice or out of the picture completely?

Volkan is the clear-cut favorite for NT keeper and has been for the past 4-5 years or so. Tolga has been in-and-out of Senior call-ups since Euro 2008 where he was the 3rd backup behind Volkan and Rustu Reçber. He wasn't even the starting keeper for Trabzonspor, as we also have a young keeper named Onur Kivrak who has crazy potential. That kid was injured late last season, and Tolga regained his old form and then some.

For the most recent call-ups, Tolga was there but suffered a minor injury in the NT camp so Sinan Bolat was used in the 2nd leg against Croatia. Fortunately for us, the GK position is one of the few where we have numerous talented young players.

Anyways, as for the match, I'd be ecstatic with a draw. Inter has done us a huge favor winning every match against Lille and CSKA so far, but I know some of those guys will be out to take it to us on our own pitch. I just hope, in the case of an Inter win, they will still play hard in their final match against CSKA.

Going to go with some crazy ludicrous prediction. Tired of seeing top teams defeat midtier teams. I want to say 2-2 draw.

Lille are about to beat CSKA any minute now lol.

So this is the table as it stands

1. Inter - 9 (4 games played)
2. Lille - 5 (5 games played)
3. CSKA - 5 (5 games played)
4. Trabzon - 5 (4 games played)

So if TS lose today, I think they have to draw against Lille in order to qualify to the knockout rounds of the CL. (I think because Trabzon should have the away game advantage right?) Plus CSKA has to also lose against Inter.

Halil is a ****ing has-been, Henrique has so much promise. Halil should die with eziks like Sabri, Zan, Servet, Selcuk Sahin, Kazim and Umut Bulut.

I think Paulo is decent. He keeps possession, isn't a headless chicken and can actually pass a ball. I'm sure he will start in the second half.

Alvarez with a nice goal, one simple pass and the defense was sliced into two.

TS 0-1 Inter.

Colman is frikkin amazing! Him and Zokora are attempting the devil's passes, trying to slice Inter wide open as well.

Also, Burak just missed an amazing chance to equalise.
