Week 18: Trabzon v Sivas

Match date: 24th of January 2010, 15:00 Turkish time.
Venue: Huseyin Avni Aker Stadium

With Trabzon being five points behind Besiktas and in sixth position in the league, does this team have what it takes to pull off a turnaround and gain a European slot? There is a lot at stake for this team too.

And maybe, just maybe, had Ersun Yanal been at the helm at the beginning of the season, maybe the team would have been in a higher position than they currently are? Don't the Trabzon management have any regrets or remorse?!?

Over the past nine matches Trabzon and Sivas had together, Sivas has won five times, drawn twice and lost twice.

I wonder how Trabzon will play in the second half of the season.

I think Trabzon have an almost full packed stadium.

Umut Bulut missed a beautiful chance by skying a simple shot over the bar from the penalty area.

However my match is like five minutes behind because apparently Trabzon are winning 1-0 thanks to Umut Bulut.

Umut Bulut
Alanzinho --- Gustavo Colman
Engin Baytar --- Selcuk Inan --- Serkan Balci
Hrvoje Cale --- Remzi Giray --- Egemen Korkmaz --- Omer Aysan
Onur Kivrak

Gustavo Colman makes it 2-0 for Trabzon. Good game so far by them.

I am watching the match on TVU player

35th minute and it's 2-1 lol. The goalkeeping here was even worse than what Volkan did against Kasimpasa in the first minute of that match.

Erman Kilic runs on the wing, goes to cross I think, and the ball slowly rolls into the net.

Sivas restarted the second half by attempting to shoot on goal straight away. Unfortunately the ball goes down to the corner flag.

About time shots started going on target. Umut Bulut makes it three.

Trabzon 3-1 Sivas. Full time.

Umut Bulut scores two to take his tally to six goals this season. Whilst Sivas are still remaining with 17 points in the relegation zone.

One of Ertuğral's African minions looked promising, the one who subbed Nabil Taider.
