Week 26: Trabzonspor v İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor

05.04.2009, 15:15 (Turkish Time), At the Hüseyin Avni Aker Stadium

The remaining nine games will showcase the endurance of all Trabzonspor players. The club has only managed to gather only one point in three games and the club has yet to display a convincing performance in recent weeks. Trabzon needs to change their recent downturn, and soon, because I want them to be a contender for the title championship but they are going in the wrong direction now.

Istanbul BB are in a relegation battle so their footballers will be fighting for their jobs. This could be a good game, or it could not, I just hope for the love of god that Trabzonspor wins and seals IBB's demotion to the lower leagues.

I think it's very easy to hate them. The biggest being that the team is put together with taxpayers money, they have 0 fans. Instead of spending the taxpayers money on improvements to the city these idiots try to build a futbol team. Same with Ankaraspor who on top of building a team pay some Ankaragucu fan groups to attend their games and feel like dicks when an Ankaragucu fan throws hubcaps into the field.

These teams have no business in the Superlig.

Also, they do nothing to improve our league in general. I mean IBB has no youth set up whatsoever and they generate no money at all. I do question why they exist nowadays....

Anyways I doubt that teams like IBB and all the ankara teams can hold onto the TSL for very long as their budgets are rising slower than all the other teams in the league.

Trabzon seems incapable of beating IBB and it's the 70th minute so far... I guess this game is the end for Trabzon's championship title ambitions. At least they got the Europa League next year...

Trabzon needs an attacker. I mean, they have a decent strikers, but their finishing is off. Both Gokhan Unal and Umut Bulut can be great 2nd striker, next to a guy like Semih. But both of them together on the pitch is devastating. It's like watching Nonda and Umit Karan.

Good result for I.B.B and Galatasaray - Fenerbahce duo. But still, nothing that matters a lot becuase Besiktas and Sivas won. Whatever happens, Trabzon is in Europe next season.

You'll win. You'll play to win. But whatever the result, you were always winners in my heart and champions. And you'll stay that way. GOD HELP YOU!

- Fatih Terim, UEFA Cup final vs. Arsenal pre talk.

Well it's pretty much guaranteed that the top five teams will all be in Europe next year for once unless Ankaraspor pulls something out of their ass in the cup and ruin it all of us. Anyways, for all the Trabzon fans, at least you have something to look forward to next season

Besides, come to think of it, Turkey will be better off if Sivas plays in the CL and the other three or four play in the Europa League, for example, Fenerbahce would get more co-efficient points in the EL than the CL. I guess it's a win-win situation then, hey youla?

So lets recap the last six games for Trabzon:

1 Win
2 Draws and
3 Losses

Whatever happened to the Trabzon in the first 20 games of this season? Where they were only defeated twice...
