Winter Transfer #1 : Faty Papy

Its not yet on the official site, but I think its safe to say we've agreed with Burundese international Faty Papy. Hes 18 years old and plays at the DM position. Inşallah we've found a gem in him as we did with Aurelio

Is it true that if you don't use it, you lose it?

Well if Ersun Yanal found him, then I have no doubt in my mind that he's a good player.

Good question, he's been playing for Inter Stars in his native country. I'm guessing a Trabzon scout took a look at him after hearing about him starting for his NT at such a young age (he has at least 4 or 5 caps by my count).

I dont know if he will be able to contribute right away, wouldn't be surprised if he was loaned out for a while.

So we have 5 Africans on the team. Song (Cameroonian), Yattara (Guinean), Sylva (Senagalese), Isaac (Nigerian), and this kid, with Isaac being the only one who can't speak French p

You'll win. You'll play to win. But whatever the result, you were always winners in my heart and champions. And you'll stay that way. GOD HELP YOU!

Faty was finally signed to a contract after some impressive displays in friendlies/training. The other kid in the picture is Goksu Alhas, an 18-year old from our PAF takim. He was the top scorer in the youth league at the mid-season break, but its looking like he will play as a winger/attacking mid type on the professional level due to his height. Our team continues to get younger.

Trabzon's really taking their team in the right direction. I wish the big three would try this too.

I know I'm speaking without even seeing this player perform, but I'm so confident with Ersun Yanal's scouting ability that I have no doubt in my mind that this is a good player, and if not that would bring Ersun's selection ratio to 9/10.

Ersun Yanal's ability to scout is nothing less then WORLD CLASS. If any of the major clubs in the world had any idea of his gift of buying amazing players for cheap prices he would be a scout for them in a heart beat.

Trabzon really is headed in the right path, the board brought Ersun on board, and left the entire team in his hands and this is the result. I would love for Trabzon to win the league (only if Fenerbahce didn't have a chance). Yanal has been unlucky through out his career, the stupid TFF fired him for absolutely no reason. And guys don't start the terim versus Yanal argument with me. I do agree that terim is more suited to be the national team coach so please don't start with me. Yanal seems to have a mentality that is so professional, the way he goes about his business or job makes it seem like he's not even from Turkiye. His level of professionalism with his amazing understanding of this sport equip him to be a world class scout. I think he's an awesome coach too, but it's deff. not his strongest asset.

Anyways, I really admire this guy...

Yeah from the little I've seen so far he plays like a much older player than an 18-year old (maybe hes lying about his age and his actually 23 or something?? p) He's already got plenty of experience starting for his National side so that may explain some of it.

You can see some of his highlights from one of our friendly cup matches starting at around 2:20 in this vid : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfb6g...e=channel_page

It's Özkan Sümer's team who found him, not Yanal. The same people who took an obscure player called Marco A. to Turkey.

he has an awesome touch.

in that game alone it looks like he had 4 great passes that allowed his teammates to get the ball at full pace and in an open area.

Your guilty conscience may force you to vote Democratic, but deep down inside you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a king.
