Trabzonspor to win the Super Lig?

I'd like to think they're favourite to be the outright winner. They seem to be playing the most positively consistent football so far this season compared to every other team in this league.

Bwin are offering their odds at 7.50... although being behind BJK, GS and FB.

Well not now that you've jinxed them with this thread. p

I have a feeling the Istanbul trio will stay consistent after the winter break. Depends how far behind they are going into it I guess. Still though, if Yanal's side doesn't lose crucial games before the seasons end (like Genclerbirligi did in 2003), then they are seriously in contention for it.

They're consistent in picking up the points against the weaker sides, but they'll struggle in most of the 'big' games.

But all in all it's a side that is still far from clicking, yet they're still getting the job done and raking in the points. When the attack in particular begins to gel, the can only get better.

I'm sure thats who you're all routing for but its not happening
Anadolu teams lack the depth, confidence and consistency to win the league,

Trabzon winning the league would be a huge surprise

I knew I should have made a bet when I had the chance in the beginning of the season. They jumped up from 20/1 to 3/1

I think they'll start losing points, starting with the BJK game this weekend.

I don't think they're going to do it... and if they don't win it this season, I can't imagine what a Trabzon fan would think. If not this season then will they EVER be able to win the league?

and yes this thread is an enormous jinx. Koyel if they don't win it we'll know why...

Another thing... if they do manage to pull it off I can't even imagine what those lunatic Trabzon fans will do, it'll be celebrations like we've never seen before.

Yeah I would be dissapointed, but we have such a young team, I think we will only get better if we keep the same core of players and Ersun Yanal as coach.

The negative would be Song is getting on in his age, he's a f***in rock for us in defense. We'd be hard-pressed to replace him.

Trabzon's come close a few times in the last decade or two, this season just seems more likely, even from the days when Gokdeniz and Fatih was banging in your goals.
