Transfer No. 13: Isaac Promise

Well this one came out of left field, but ligtv is reporting that we got Promise from Genclerbirligi.

Im not sure about the details, but this is a good transfer IMO. He can be a good back-up for Gokhan and Umut, and hes still, what, 21?? Not bad

good transfer. He's fast as hell.

Is it true that if you don't use it, you lose it?

I think he is something like 20. If I remember right he was only 17 when he was signed by Cavcav. Actually that makes him 20 because you can not sign a deal more than 3 years long when you are under 18. so when we do the math he must be 20 goin into his 21.. A very good signing imo. I always felt that Isaac had much more potential than it seems. A great upgrade from Tomas Jun thats for sure

Very good transfer. You simply picked up the best players of Anadolu, plus few quality foreigners.

You'll win. You'll play to win. But whatever the result, you were always winners in my heart and champions. And you'll stay that way. GOD HELP YOU!

He looked very good when he came to gencler at 17 years old, showed a lot of promise (no pun intended)

But since then he hasn't improved much. It has been 3 years now and he is exactly the same player he was when he was 17.

He might explode and get better in a different enviornment but I wouldn't bet on it.

If you were going for his type of striker I think Balili is the better option.

That's what ı gonna say...He was brilliant when he was 17...I've watched his NT games in Holland before his move to Gençlerbirliği and ı liked his style...He's fast and a good dribbler...Sometimes he makes toff shots or scores unbeliavable goals but also misses a lot...Let's say a player like Youla...Anyway he is free and for me he's one of the best choises...Cause there'll be no adaptation problem and he won't cause problems while stting at bench...Suppporters will love his style...

Had no clue he was for free. If that is the case he is a very good gamble.

I doubt Trabzon is paying him much. At first I had assumed you guys purchased him.

Awesome move, while our president and board members are scratching their asses Trabzon has got their shti together!! Cavcavinda kaziklanmasi beni mutlu etti hayvan adam gidip Mehmet Cakiri bedavaya Ankara B.B.'ye veriyo biz yalvardik vermedi ne kadar paralar istedi. Can't wait till we play their garbage team. The only team from Ankara should be Ankaragucu and that is all!

I don't get Cavcav, why does he want to make profits still? That guy has enough money to build a 200,000 seater stadium and yet he's too busy selling players for profits.

Cavcav, "Sayın Belediye Başkanımız Melih Gökçek’in ısrarları üzerine Mehmet Çakır’ın Ankaraspor’da oynaması için anlaşmaya vardık. Sonuçta kardeş bir kulübümüze gönderdik. Umarım Mehmet Çakır Ankaraspor için hayırlı olur."

Ankara mayor and owner of Ankara BB a team with no fans for the same reasons Gencler has no fans simply asked Cavcav and Cavcav handed him over just so he doesn't wind up at Eskisehir. I used to like Cavcav but this guy is a true pig.

he was 17 when he signed for genclerbirligi so he was only allowed to sign a 3 year deal, but gencler signed him for 4 years. now what basically happened is that 3 years passed and that isaac came to trabzon for free. and cavcav can shut the fukk up.

Cavcav wants a million dollars for Isaac in an interview he said something like "Well it seems Trabzon has money since they're dishing it out like it's nothing so surely they can give me one million dollars for Isaac" bok alirsin. Cavcav anasini boyar babasina satar.

Seriously though, with these signings Trabzon must be a contender for the cup.

It is going to take a bit for these players to gel. Maybe even longer since a lot of them are young.

Trabzon are going to be awesome in afew years, assuming they don't flip out and fire Ersun and get rid of the youngsters if they don't get instant success.

Actually I'm kinda worried about the huge expectations fans in Trabzon seem to have. You can't throw 11 new players together throw them on the field an expect success right away.

I see them fighting tooth and nail for a Uefa spot for two years and if they can keep it all together and keep improving their team perhaps fight for a title in about 3 years.

But lets not hold our breathe. This is Turkiye, nobody has any sort of patience.

Ugh Cavcav First he doesn't let Cakir go to EsEs, and now he won't even let Promise go for free (even though his contract expired?).
