Week 14: Sivasspor - Trabzonspor

Okay... This ones GOTTA be a win. Sivasspor's obviously a great team, they beat BJK last week, but cmon.. Four games without a win is ridiculous, we HAVE to win this.

I saw Balili got carried off in their match last week, but I'm not sure of his condition. Servet is gonna cause problems for our under-performing attack. I don't think we're the favorites for this one, but these three points are necessary.

Thanks It's a shame I can't understand much of what he says but I love to listen anyway It's funny, I can understand more written Turkish than I can when it is spoken.

Anyway, hopefully Çağdaş will get another game tomorrow....I read something about him having a cold but with treatment he is recovering quickly

No worries, Cagdas is locked-in to start tomorrow, because Fatih Akyel wasn't brought with the squad for some reason.

Also, Umut is set to start alone up-front, while Ersen is recuperating.

1-0 Sivas

This club has hit rock bottom.. We'd be lucky to finish mid-table.

What a shame. I really felt hopeful for that match too :rollani:
Was the goal down to poor defending (I hope not!) or was it just a good goal?

It was actually pretty controversial. A Sivas player lobbed it over our defensive line and Balili outpaced the defense. His first shot was blocked and recovered by Jefferson but Balili dived at it and kicked it out of Jeffersons hands into the goal.

Oh btw, Cagdas will be suspended for next week's game against Fenerbahce Too many yellow cards, and the same goes for Hasan Ucuncu and Musa Buyuk.

At least Fener will be missing Alex...

Should have been disallowed. Jefferson had the ball in his hands. But that last goal Sivas got disallowed should have been granted. There was no offside. So I guess in the end this controversy is cancelled out by another controversy.

Hmmm, typical :rollani: Shame Trabzon couldn't have scored themselves and then that goal being allowed wouldn't have mattered quite so much.

Oh and yes, I read that Çağdaş will be suspended for the Fener game because of yellow cards. Oh well that's football I suppose and he is a defender so has to get his tackles in I will just have to suffer without him for that game But at least he can't play for a reason and not just because he isn't getting picked.

Another team down on their knees, coming into a Fener derby looking to salvage something? Errggh!

This Sivasspor really is a paradox. They're so bad, yet so tailormade for beating the big teams who take the initiative against them

That makes it a point against Fener, and three each against Trabzon, Besiktas and Manisa! That's 10 points in their only 4 games against "big" opponents. Yet in their other 10 matches, they've only collected a grand sum of, wait for it..... 8 points!
(Note, they play Galatasaray at ASY this week, making it three big matches in a row. I'll probably choke and die laughing if they pull off three straight wins )

One wonders how much longer Ziya Dogan will stick around. All I know is, I'd love to be the man who steps into his place. No pressure, and a talented squad to mould into shape for an assault next season, what more could you ask for?

Here's hoping for a worn-out Sivasspor in their next match

Seriously though, TSL has a pretty outrageous fixture this season.

Most teams plays Besiktas, Trabzon, and Galatasaray in that order
I guess this is Ulusoy's trick, tire the teams out before they play us

4 losses in the last 5 matches.

No goals scored in those 5.

Some great stats eh?
