Fatih Tekke - where's he going?

Where is he off to, was he part of the swap deal to hertha? or is Zenith going to purchase him for the 7 mill euros?

if he leaves, itll be sad, he really was a symbol for trabzonspor...

It looks like hes going to Zenith for 8-9 million euros . Can Karyagdi said on Lig Tv that it was 99 % done, but i havent been saying much about it on the board cause im clinging on to any hope that he'll stay.

8-9 mill euros? thats big money, you guys can find a seriously skilled replacement for fatih, plus some other positions..

you guys will be stronger if he stays, but that kind of money is hard to pass up...

Who? Zenit in Russian league? He is much better than that. If he wants to play abroad he should go to Premiership.

Zenit announced on their official site that they sign Tekke, four years,no fee was mention....

I guess they would not do that if they were not 100% per cent sure.

If it is true it is a strange decision by Fatih. He has been linked with some big European teams in the past few seasons, so why would he go to a Russian club that isn't any better than his current club.
I wonder if he made the decision or if he was forced by the Trabzonspor management.
Unless he does extremely well in the russian league he can wave goodbye to the national team.

he was never been linked with any big clubs in europe. Last year it was Wigan, which hardly qualifies as a big club and before that Fatih wasn't that famous yet.

If he were a Brazilian or Agentinian he will have a problem going to the russian league because the national coach will not look at him but playing in a european national team that will not happen...also is not too difficult to watch the russian league on satellite and on the net nowadays.

They may just have been rumors, but according to the papers he was linked to Arsenal and Hertha Berlin this season and Deportivo la coruna few years ago.

Oh man. This sucks so bad. We did get a great amount of cash, but still, I'd take Fatih over 20 million if i had the choice.

He transferred to Trabzonspor right when i started following soccer, and supporting Trabzon (yes im pretty new). I really can't imagine the team without him. It wouldve been amazing seeing Fatih, Marcelinho, Gokdeniz, Yattara, and Szymkowiak all playing together.

I watched him evolve from a good striker to a great one, and saw every one of his 31 goals the other year and 22 goals this year. He's had his ups and down, but whenever he played, everyone could admit he showed the most passion for his team.

Whenever the team would be struggling, I knew he (with the occasional help of Yattara ) would turn the game around. He gave so much to the team, and its the least we could do to let him play outside of Turkey before his years are up. If he wants to play in Russia, then its his choice, and ill be rooting for him. He'll always be my favorite player, and is now and forever a Trabzonspor legend.

Good luck and thank you, Büyük Kaptan!

According to Szymek Tekke was sold for 7,5m euros. But he really should go to better league than Russian....England or Spain would be better. Strange.

Dennis, it's the Turkish newspapers linking him with Arsenal. Most of the time it says..."according to Turkish media clubs like arsenal and Barcelona are set to sign the Turkish striker fatih Tekke"

The same happened with Zlatan and Fenerbahce:

"Enligt Turkiska nyhetsbyråer är Zlatan på väg att skriva på för Turkiska storklubben Fenerbahce"
