Official: Çağdaş Atan signs

We've signed Besiktas defender Cagdas Atan as our first summer acquisition. I'm not sure of the details, but I hope he is more succesful here than Kursat.

Here's the article from http://www.trabzonspor.org.tr

-----------------------
Çağdaş Atan Trabzonspor'da
2006/07 futbol sezonu öncesinde ilk transferini gerçekleştiren kulübümüz, Beşiktaş'ın defans oyuncusu Çağdaş Atan'ı renklerine bağladı.

Başkanımız Nuri Albayrak Çağdaş'ın transferiyle ilgili yaptığı açıklamada, "Takımımız kaliteli bir futbolcu kazandı. Camiamıza hayırlı uğurlu olsun" dedi.

wow good signing... a strong defender for trabzonspor's back... not sure if he should replace fatih akyel or stepanov, but i would die to see them form a three man back;

cagdas---stepanov---akyel

good defense right there, complete depending on the wingbacks

I think you must the only one that rates Cagdas. Just because you are tall does not make you a class defender. Perhaps it was just because he was used on left back.

for a team like trabzonspor, signing cagdas is a pretty good deal, hes a good player whether on the bench or not... he can get the job done, and the defense could use A LOT of competition... so, wow, good signing...

Would be great for squad depth for Trabzonspor... but how many defensive players does your club need? Aren't you stocked up with like 10+ defenders in the first team squad?

thats reallyu a good thing for a team like trabzonspor... stepanov, fatih akyel, erdinc yavuz and cagdas atan are all good defenders, and the competition for starting places will really make for a good defense next year, just what the doctor ordered

You know if Gala were ever unable to keep hold of the title... I wouldn't mind seeing the Bordo-Maviler win it for the first time since the 80's I think.

wouldnt mind it either... and the way things are looking -- new manager, no players lost, and more defensive players added... trabzonspor dont look too bad of a contender this season..
