The Championship 2015/16 thread

With a couple of new managers/head coaches in place today, time to get a thread rolling for next season championship.

Paul Clement is the new man at Derby.

Dutchman Marinus Dijkhuizen (anyone know how that's pronounced feel free to enlighten me) arrives at Brentford from Excelsior. Which leaves Mark Warburton available for someone, don't think there's anyone without a manager at the moment.

Warburton must be in prime position for the first club to sack their manager.

Stuart Gray has been sacked by Sheffield Wednesday. This looked to have improved a bit last season, and apparently will have some funds for transfers the summer. Perhaps lining Warburton up to spend it?

Who is looking strongest to go up?

Have Leeds been given any money to actually give it a go at getting back to the Prem?

Trying not to sound bias, Derby. Middlesbrough will be strong again, then you look at the 3 relegated clubs.

Only doubt with Derby is the new inexperienced (as head coach) manager. Otherwise we look stronger than last year, and as long as we avoid another major cock up at the end of the season. We should be in the top 2.

Leeds spent 3 Million on Chris Wood from Leicester.

How do you guys expect Brentford to do?

They have used the same system in Denmark which resulted in a team never winning the Championship before being crowned Champions.

Brentford will be interesting, as they look to do what Bournemouth did in their second season. One major difference is Bournemouth never for rid of their manager. We will have to wait and see how the new manager does. I do hope they continue with the same style of football though.

Brentford so far at least have kept their best players, added a couple of foreign signings too. So I'm sure they will be hoping to do as well as last year. Of course new manager in place, so you can never be sure how that will go. Comfortably in the top half again for me.

Obviously Derby have been busy in the transfer market bringing in 6 new players. Has anyone else done anything of note yet in the transfer market? I don't recall seeing anything that jumps out.

Forest have pushed the boat out signing Jamie ward for free of course. Not good enough for derby anymore but will do well for a small club like forest

Otherwise I'm not sure, I'll have a look when I get chance.

Championship will be wide open as usual.

I have a feeling Hull are going to struggle this season. Steve Bruce is an idiot.

Clubs that have been bust so far, derby, Charlton, Fulham, qpr, Rotherham and Reading. Plenty of time yet though.

Derby, QPR and Burnley, unsurprisingly have done the best business so far for me. Hull lagging behind their promotion rivals so far.

Some deals I notices today on the bbc website.

Greg Halford to Rotherham, good signing that, Halford did well at Brighton last season.

Jamie o Hara to Fulham.
Alex Baptiste to Middlesbrough.
Sammy Ameobi on loan to Cardiff.
Derek Osede to Bolton.

Halford is a great signing for Rotherham.

Whatever happened to Jamie o'Haras career?

Josh McEachran has gone to Brentford, they're looking good for another good season.
