Play Offs 2007

Start this years play offs thread early seems as that's all I've got to think about now

By my calculations going into the last games of the season, in all 3 football league divisions, only Derby and Yeovil know it's definately play offs for them, with everyone else still in danger of dropping out, or getting automatic.

Championship

3 PO Derby County 45 24 9 12 60 46 14 81
4 West Bromwich Albion 45 21 10 14 74 55 19 73
5 Wolverhampton Wanderers 45 21 10 14 55 55 0 73
6 Southampton 45 20 12 13 73 52 21 72
7 Stoke City 45 19 15 11 61 40 21 72
8 Preston North End 45 21 8 16 63 53 10 71
9 Colchester United 45 20 9 16 70 54 16 69

Personally expect it too stay as it is in the Championship, with the current 4, and Wolves winning it overall.

League 1

2 Bristol City 45 24 10 11 60 38 22 82
3 Nottingham Forest 45 23 12 10 65 41 24 81
4 Blackpool 45 23 11 11 70 46 24 80
5 Yeovil Town 45 22 10 13 53 39 14 76
6 Oldham Athletic 45 20 12 13 68 47 21 72
7 Swansea City 45 20 12 13 66 47 19 72

Think Bristol City will beat Rotherham and go up, Oldham play relegated Chesterfield, and Swansea play Blackpool, so I expect Oldham to stay 5th.

Blackpool to win it overall, hopefully breaking Florist hearts at Wembley

League 2

3 Swindon Town 45 25 9 11 57 37 20 84
4 Milton Keynes Dons 45 24 9 12 73 57 16 81
5 Lincoln City 45 20 11 14 68 59 9 71
6 Shrewsbury Town 45 18 16 11 66 44 22 70
7 Bristol Rovers 45 19 12 14 47 41 6 69
8 Stockport County 45 20 8 17 60 54 6 68

Expect Swindon to get at least the point needed to go up, think Stockport will sneak into the play offs, with Bristol Rovers having to play Hartlepool, who are chasing the title.

MK Dons to win it overall.

Conference

Exeter v Oxford
Morecombe v York

Expect Oxford to win it.

at least we still have the chance of direct promotion. although i have a feeling that if the f**kers (i.e. Bristol city) fail to win their last game, it will be Blackpool, not us, who will grab the opportunity.

Championship - Southampton
League One --- Nottingham Forest
League Two --- Blackpool
Conference --- Exeter

Not so sure about league two, and Conference as I don't pay much attention to them.
Nottingham Forest are strong favourites, while the Championship always has a team
that just edges into the play-offs and then gets promoted...aka Crystal Palace, and West Ham the past seasons.
So I'd put money on Southampton if I could be bothered/

Conference play off results

Exeter 0-1 Oxford
York 0-0 Morecombe

Oxford should make it now Morecombe probably favourites to win the tie on home soil.

Don't count York out, I think I'll slip something on them because they have the best away record in the league and have built a lot of their season on their away form. They also beat Morecambe away in the league

Been down today and got my tickets for the Morecambe/York game on Monday night. It's gonna be a hostile one for the Yorkies.
