Albion have launched 'Operation Promotion' following a key summit between
manager Bryan Robson and chairman Jeremy Peace.

as the two men met to discuss their plans for the return to the

business before returning for pre-season training at the beginning of July.
Chairman and manager met with the rest of the Baggies directors to firm up
their plans for summer recruitment, and Robson said Peace would begin
chasing new players immediately.
But the manager also stressed the need to keep together the bulk of the
squad from their Premiership relegation season as top-flight clubs begin to
circle around Albion's prize assets.
"I had a meeting with the chairman and board yesterday morning and it was
very positive," said Robson.
"We talked about the future and trying to make sure we keep all the boys and
add to the squad.
"If we can get a couple of the players we're after and keep the current boys
happy then it gives us a really good chance for next season.
"The structure of the club means we were allowed to do this and I think the
current players showed on Sunday they are very capable.
"I've identified positions and given the chairman a list of players I'd like
to bring in. He will work on that over the next few days and weeks.
"A lot depends on the lads who are out of contract with us but we will try
to get a couple in regardless.
"The board and I want people in by the time we get back to pre-season on
July 6 because it shows the supporters and the boys the intentions and
ambitions of this club.
