Gary Holt injury shock

Norwich have been hit by their second major injury setback in the space of a single week, reports BBC Radio Norfolk.

Midfielder Gary Holt has joined Damian Francis on the sidelines after suffering a haemothorax - a build-up of blood between the ribs and lungs.

Holt was hospitalised on Monday but the problem is thought to have been there for weeks and may have been aggravated in a collision against Birmingham.

Francis, meanwhile, is already out injured after fracturing a cheekbone.

Holt will definitely miss this weekend's game againt Fulham and the lay-off looks set to stretch into the Christmas period.

Francis could return soon and wear a mask as worn by other footballers in the past.

or maybe Safri will play alongside Mulryne?

Helveg does deserve another chance though, when he has started - i.e. against Everton, he was shite, maybe in centre mid he will show why he is experienced international player ...

he needs to start playing like the Helveg we know him as .. his Norwich career could be finished if he carries on with poor performances

i cant see Safri playing due to less games than Helveg this season
