EPL Birmingham City vs Palace k/o 12.45

Now this could be an interesting game, there are more links between these two teams than you can shake a stick at

Steve Bruce( manager , Birmingham )...Former Palace boss, quit whilst at the top of the league to manage "bigger club" etc......

Mika Forssell(Birmingham).. injured, spent 1 1/2 seasons on loan at Palace.

Clinton Morrison (Birmingham)..ex Palace striker, currently injured,

Andrew Johnson( Palace)....ex Blues striker, joined Palace as makeweight in the Morrison deal

Julian Gray(Birmingham)...ex Palace, talented but stroppy left winger signed for free in the summer

Matthew Upson(Birmingham) Had a loan spell at Palace and was said to be "less than impressed "

Nico Vaesen( Birmingham)....Play off hero and Honorary Eagle

Robbie Savage(Birmingham) vs Michael Hughes(Palace)= lovebirds :dielaugh: Hughes was also involved in a contractual dispute between Brum and wimbledon which prevented him from playing for 1 year.

Crystal Palace (from): Speroni, Kiraly, Boyce, Butterfield, Borrowdale, Hudson, Hall, Popovic, Leigertwood, Powell, Sorondo, Granville, Riihilahti, Hughes, Kolkka, Derry, Danze, Watson, Routledge, Lakis, Freedman, Johnson, Kaviedes.

Wow, impressive number of links.

I know a link for both teams with Sampdoria: Trevor Francis was both the manager of Birmingham and Palace. Where is Francis now?

yeah, im watching it too, i have the season ticket for prem plus. Kiraly looks a little dodgy but he's getting away with it due to the shear lack of talent in the scum of the midlands squad . just keep sending them further down into danger and ill be happy

FT Brum 0-1 Palace
Palace must have had one shot all game and scored :embarass: blues had all of the posession but were simply awful up front, Boyce did a great job on Julian Gray and kept Stan Lazaridies pretty quiet too. Gronkjaer was probably their most dangerous player but he just couldn't play a decent final ball.
We looked dangerous on the break but Dowie wasn't too pleased with some shoddy passing.
Can't complain though as we've got tough games coming up vs Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle

Wasn't a great game, but three very important points for Palace. I hope the team can keep up collecting points like this.
