Team News

Nicola Ventola will be out for 3 weeks or more with a knee ligament injury
Michael Hughes should start in midfield after Dowie admitted it was a mistake to drop him Ivan kaviedes played well in midweek and may get a start as AJ picked up a knock vs City last week.

Ventola was the one person I was actually worried about playing against tomorrow so that's welcomed news. He is a very good forward indeed, he's a great signing from you and i'm expecting him to get a few goals for you this season.

Palace have Ventola?!?! Wow, I remember when he was the shining light of Italian youth players!! :eekani:

And Pablo, don't count our chickens before they are hatched! We have a tendency to be crap against opposition like Palace (my local team!).

there is a field.
I'll meet you there.

Ventola is one of those players who often get injured, hardly recover from injuries, need time before getting fit again and then get injured again.

1-1, you can build from this now I feel. You should do really if you played as you did today. And for our sake I hope you start chalking up some points becuase it is embarrasing being one of only 2 teams (the other Norwich) not to collect all 3 points against you. But times like this you just have to look to last season for comfort when Man Ure lost 1-0 to Wolves when they were top and bottom respectively.

I hope so Pablo, this result and performance will give the players a bit of self belief they seem to have been lacking . We do need to get that elusive win soon though.

Yeah, for you to come to Villa Park and get a point (which could have even been all 3) is a fantastic result for you. We were just appauling today though, very lacklustre and we went in with the mentality that we would just cruise through this one- which proved to be a big mistake.

Great performance. Hopefully this will be the start of Palace picking up a lot of points from now on.
