Freedman and Black to Leeds?

http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...le+Palace+deal

Leeds United have agreed a deal with Crystal Palace for Dougie Freedman and Tommy Black - but the transfer is on hold.

The Whites were looking to lure the pair on three-month loans, but Palace's injury problems have meant they must delay the deal.

"We had agreed everything financially with Palace and were hoping to complete the deal," said Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey.

"But they have been hit by a few injuries and until they have been assessed the deals can't go through.

"There's still every opportunity that the deal will be concluded early next week."

Leeds are still in talks with Birmingham's Stern John and Sean Gregan of West Bromwich Albion

Well we have Ventold, Torghelle, Kaviedes and Johnson, so me probably don't need Freedman and Black hasn't done anything for a year and a bit now. A few seasons ago he was on fire.

It would be a loan deal, so they would still be our players. If we are out of it by christmas we'll probably keep them for a go in div 1. It's also getting players off of the wage bill , don't be surprised to see Shipps leave either, he has been linked to moves to Bristol City or Sheff Utd.
Tommy's not good enough for the prem and Freedman is lacking that extra something he had a few years ago

A bit harsh mate If you mean he's overweight, has no pace and has very little chance of getting a game ahead of Torghelle and Ventola then I'd agree with you

Tommy to Sheff U

http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...Leeds+to+Black

Tommy Black is joining Sheffield United on loan as Neil Warnock's men have beaten Leeds United to his signature.

The Blades have snared the Crystal Palace winger on a temporary basis despite competition from their Yorkshire rivals.

The Chigwell-born wide man is looking for first team football and has been allowed to leave by Palace manager Iain Dowie.

Although he enjoyed a purple patch the season before last, Black has struggled to hold down a regular place at Selhurst Park and has accepted the opportunity to help United push for promotion.

The 24-year-old could make his debut in Saturday's tough trip to high-flying Wigan Athletic if the paperwork is completed in time.

"With first team opportunities limited at Crystal Palace so far this season for Tommy," agent David Manasseh told stellargroup.co.uk. "We both felt it was the right time for him to get some games under his belt.

"As soon as Sheffield United showed interest, we were both sure it was the right move to make.

"I am sure Tommy will prove he still has much to offer and will eventually force his way back into Iain Dowie's plans."

A good move for Tommy and Palace

and Dougie stays

http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...tays+at+Palace

Crystal Palace striker Dougie Freedman has rejected a move to Leeds.

Leeds made enquiries about signing Freedman and team-mate Tommy Black on loan as they look to bolster their squad.

Freedman has rejected the chance to move to Elland Road and wants to stay and fight for his place at Selhurst Park.

"To be fair to the gaffer, he gave me the choice. My choice was to stay and fight for my place, get back in the side and score goals in The Premiership," said Freedman.

"It took about three seconds to make the decision to stay."

Meanwhile, Leeds are closing in on the signing of West Brom midfielder Sean Gregan after the player underwent a medical at the club's training ground.
