Manchester United v Norwich City match thread

An nice & easily little 2nd game of the season for us to enjoy

Seriously though, it could be a very good time for us to visit O.T. and I will be delighted if we at least score!

With so many players unavailable for them I am optimistic we won't lose too heavily.

Manchester United 2-1 Norwich City

Bellion(32 mins)------McVeigh(75 mins)
Smith(50 mins)

The defeat was inevitable,
but I am proud of the lads for making a fight of it.

I didn't see the game but United dominated
and Smith's goal deserved to win any game.

David Bentley had a spectacular effort that crashed off the wordwork on the half-hour,
but soon afterwards Smith got his head to a Giggs ball in, and Bellion slotted home

and early in the second half Smith's stunner all but sealed the victory for the hosts

1 of our best chances was created by Huckerby who made Roy Keane look a fool but Matty Svensson couldn't quite get on the end of Huck's cross.

With 15 minutes left the sub Gary Doherty (making his debut) caused problems in the United defence,
and the ball fell kindly for another sub, Paul McVeigh, to beat Howard with a calm finish!

We did even have a couple of chances to steal an equaliser!
Leon McKenzie outpaced Roy Keane late on but his shot hit the side netting .

Canaries line-up:

McVeigh(came on for Jonson @ h/t)
Doherty(came on for Svensson on 69 mins)
McKenzie(came on for Bentley on 76 mins)

I thought you guys played very well.

I'm not sure if it was Man U just not playing very well or you guys raising your game.

But that last 20 mins it looked only a matter of time before you scored an equaliser, McKenzie was unlucky to not score.

Fantasy Football? try
