Do Nottingham Forest want promotion?

I have'nt seen any other Forest fans on here but im thoroughly p**ssed off at the moment!

We have agreed a price of half a million pounds for Marlon Harewood who is the top scorer at Forest and second top scorer in the first division!

Financial difficulty's aside, how does this improve our chances of promotion or do we like it in Division one?

Answers on a postcard!!

Rant over:rollani:

Things could be worse, just look a few miles my way. You've still got some strikers left though which is more than i can say about Derby

If Forest are still in administration then any player can be bought for a reasonable amount. The club dont have much of a say in the matter.

Although I think it might be to do with the fact that Harewood is out of contract at the end of the season, and has already stated that he wont sign a new contract at Forest. So Forest are selling him for something rather than nothing.

the decision to sell harewood is a wrong one. we are buying king from gillingham at alomst double price. doesn't make a lot of sense.

Im starting to think im the only one in England!!!

I understood that it was because Harewood didnt want a new contract but with the prices of some of the sh*t around, I dont think 1/2 mil is enough.

Our finances are supposed to be a lot better now but instead of building on last season we seem to be breaking the team apart and giving ourselves no chance at all for promotion.

I feel like crying!

I feel great joy now if leicester get relegated and we stay up celebrations will be in order.

p.s when is the derby v forest match, the derby site won't come up for me, and seems as i didn't bother getting a season ticket, i'll have to go buy a ticket, and who knows they might sell out, i doubt it but you never know

I did have my doubts but i reckon 4th from bottom will be where we get, everytime we go into the bottom 3 we win the next game, so i reckon it will be big east midland derby's for another year at least

The same thing happened at Palace when Hayden Mullins was sold to West Ham. Teams outside the Prem just can't afford to let players go for nothing, however good they are, becuase they need the money

Im watching the results too, not good!!

On the Harewood affair, do you think West ham are going to sell Defoe now? It seems a bit of sense to bring in harewood at 1/2 mil and sell Defoe for around 7mil. We all know how hard it is financially in div 1 and harewood wont want prem wages!

What do you think?

BTW - still 0 - 2 & remeber darchevillle? aparently he's been scoring a few for Bordeaux

come march 20th, derby v forest would be a crucial relegation tie.

it is the winter of despair.

with promotion out of reach, we can concentrate on winning the F.A. cup and going to europe.
