Estonia v Gibraltar (7th Oct - WC2018 Qualifier)

Martin Reim's first match in charge. He has called back into the team many guys who have been away from the NT for years, such as the moody winger Henrik Ojamaa and even the aging legend/cult player Tarmo Neemelo. Also Mattias Käit from Fulham's youth team has been called up.

Reim has kept the cards close to his chest and nobody knows much about the lineup he might field tonight.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Gibraltar's starters vs Portugal: only 3 footballers by trade + a policeman, a schoolboy, a lawyer, a fireman, a builder etc.

I think all of them are pros actually...well, several of them probably earn less than a fireman or a lawyer in Gibraltar.

If you can call players in Estonian league pros, that is. I wouldn't.

nice debut by 18yo Mattias Käit, scoring a brace from midfield

the 1st half was pretty sad, 2nd half thankfully brought some nice goals, especially Vassiljev's

Anier was pretty wasteful though, having like 10 shots on goal and none on target it seemed

well we were playing vs one of the worst sides in Europe...and were incredibly clueless and wasteful in attack

It's a progress, that we even had chances, what we can waste

dude, they were playing against builders and firemen, of course they get chances

but this game still proved how little talent we have in this squad...it's pretty sad that a guy like Anier is a consensus starting striker game after game...but it's not like we have anybody better
