Weird how Estonia played so under-expectation in this match. Only last campaign you beat Slovenia, held England to the last minute, held Switzerland to the last minute, won a few games. What has changed?
Coach, coach, coach. Pehrsson makes his best, but apparently he throws just too much theoretical stuff onto players and thanks to it, any creativity has gone from pitch and as a consequence of it, team has lost its emotional strength and unity as a team. They are making something like a servitude on pitch. Perfect example is Konstantin Vassiljev - our most creative player, best player in Poland league, but yesterday he was... pretty awful tbf and he didn't play with his heart.
And a selection of squad. He left out from last squad (and has actually ignored them all the time) THREE best wingers right now in Estonia. 1) Tarmo Kink - former Middlesbrough player, 2) Hendrik Ojamaa - shines right now in Eredivise, 3) Siim Luts - just good player. Instead of them, he called up some wingers, who haven't scored a SINGLE goal in ESTONIA league (like Igor Subbotin)
And fun part is also, that although Pehrsson seems to be a good tactican according to several his compatriots, there can still see some obivous tactiacal mistakes on the pitch. We can't defence or attack set pieces, we have our certain plan to attack, but it hasn't worked at all in this year. And the last straw was that Miralem Pjanic didn't got his own marker in midfield yesterday, who would try to ruin his desire to play.
In conclusion, situation is quite similar to Man utd after Ferguson retirement. Tarmo RŁŁtli (aka Ferguson) left and his replacement reminds me van Gaal.
