We have the best squad available basically and the last 3 matches with Turkey have ended in a draw. Our recent results (0-0 vs Turkey, 0-0 vs Portugal, 0-1 vs Brazil) haven't been bad. Turkey is a huge favourite of course but maybe we can make it a hard day for them.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Going to be a tough battle against the Estonians, please leave your clubs at home

Estonia plays a nice 9-0-1 formation

I think we will go for a more cautious approach and play 9-1-0 this time

Because when you type a football formation you very rarely include the goalkeeper.

And graves, come on, put a picture of Brendan Fraser (Encino Man) instead

Turkey leading 2-1...Voskoboinikov gave us the lead in 7th minute but now we've conceded two soft goals

Your two goals were avoidable too though. The best team one. For a minute there I thought you were gonna kill our world cup ambitions

Only for a minute? Come on, at least 20 mins.

Well, we can always whine. If we don' score, it's bad. If we score, then it's too early. Never happy.

As I looked it up I thought it was a good result. Reminded me of that nasty 2:4 to the Netherlands a few qualifiers ago. What was the actual performance like?

Don't know, I was sleeping
According to Rüütli, sad to see us to lose but nothing shameful.

We were awful in defense, all goals were avoidable. The first one was especially stupid, worst mistake I've seen Jääger do. Turkey was concentrating on attack only and left us a plenty of time and space even after they went 2-1 so we got some chances. We looked relatively good on attack by our standards but overall it was definitely a huge failure. Basically we have no hope against strong teams away from home if our defense doesn't play 100% on their best.

I'm also annoyed by Rüütli's comments where he sees our 2 somewhat lucky goals against Turkey's mediocre defending as a "positive" and says how he regrets the mistakes that led to conceding 4 goals but "we shouldn't be ashamed". This is typical lame inferiority complex mentality: if we score against strong teams then it is somehow a success and shows that "we can attack" even if we play like crap in the defense in that same match.
