Viggo Jensen is the new coach of Estonian NT

Pohlak announced that they will soon complete the contract with 59-year old Danish coach Jensen. He's currently the head scout of Danish club Esbjerg but has had a long experience as a coach. His most notable achievements are leading Odense to UEFA Cup quarterfinals in 1994 and being an assistant coach with the Danish EURO1992 winners side. As a player he won the CL with Bayern in 73/74 season. He's known as a temperamental character. Janno Kivisild will be his assistant coach.

Basically the same situation as with Thordarsson and Pijpers - nobody has heard of the man before he signs the contract, just one of the many thousands of hardworking coaches in Europe...but I guess Pohlak know what he's doing.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? Viggo Jensen is the kind of coach who is utter useless to a top team, but excellent at a small club with little money and low expectations.

Jensen is all about boring to watch organised teamwork and very dangerous set pieces and counter attacks, especially dangerous set pieces is his strenght and mantra, and I have to admit that he is a real expert at making even the poorest of team look highly dangerous at set pieces, so he is no doubt going to bring you results if he's given the time to work with your team... But It's not going to be pretty to watch..

Sounds brilliant to me. His way of thinking football might suit perfectly the NT's potential.

We can defend ok and attack ok, though our attack doesn't result into goals. Hope he can re-organize it a bit or something like that. For country like us, that coach is rather big choice. Pijpers used to be a youth coach or assitant at some club in Holland, not to talk about Goes. Getting a guy who was assistant coach in Denmark Euro victory, has okay career in top football and lots of experience from the best Scandinavian league is quite improvement.

This sounds good because this is the kind of coach we need with the current bunch of players we have

He has given some interviews to Estonian media lately, says that he knows practically nothing about the players...but he seems like a nice old guy with a good attitude and obviously has experience about coaching underdogs to success against big teams
