Mali - Lithuania [Friendly 06/02/07]

So apparently Lithuania will play a friendly against Mali (not the poster p ) in Paris. I assume it might be at Charlety stadium ? Last friendly before the bloody game against France.

Liubinskas counts on Hearts contingent

Lithuania coach Algimantas Liubinskas has included six Heart of Midlothian FC players in his squad for the friendly international against Mali in Paris.

Velička recall
Liubinskas, whose side will use the match on 6 February as prepation for their UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against France in Kaunas on 24 March, has recalled Hearts striker Andrius Velička. He won the last of his seven caps in May 2005 but has been rewarded for some impressive form that has brought nine goals during his loan spell with the Scottish Premier League side. Andrius Skerla, meanwhile, remains in the squad despite being without a club after leaving FC Tom Tomsk.

Lithuania squad

Goalkeepers:

Žydrunas Karčemarskas (FC Dinamo Moskva)
Mindaugas Malinauskas (FBK Kaunas).

Defenders:

Marius Stankevicius (Brescia Calcio)
Andrius Skerla (no club)

Irmantas Zelmikas (SC Tavriya Simferopol)
Deividas Šemberas (PFC CSKA Moskva)
Marius Žaliukas (Heart of Midlothian FC),
Nerijus Barasa (Heart of Midlothian FC).

Linas Pilibaitis (FBK Kaunas)
Vitalijus Kavaliauskas (FK Ekranas)
Igoris Morinas (FK Žalgiris Vilnius).

Strikers:

I expect Lithuania to score 3 goals in the first minute, followed by mali's counterattack of several short posts explaining why Zidane is the best player ever

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

no need explaination, just watch him playing if you are a connaisseur.

I strictly have nothing to say but I want that comes out.

Dziaukstas was replaced by Gediminas Paulauskas.
Our coach A.Liubinskas won't be able to present at this match. He will have a leg surgery and long rehabilitation after.

What squad is expected from Mali, will they field their best players?

Dunno, if Kanouté and Diarra will released by their club. I think there is a load of them playing in France though. That must be the reason that this friendly will be played in La Courneuve.

Well, we shall be lucky if we dont lose more than one goal or score at least one. However I do not believe this to happen..

As I have told.. we have sucked a great time.. as always by he way. Unless government and mass media starts to PR for football affairs.. cos now the situation is pathetic and seems to remain the same for many years in future..
