Dunno, this idea of regional leagues in football seems stupid for me somehow. I know that it will probably improve our league a bit because the clubs will get more strong matches per season but stilll...I quess I'm a traditionalist about that or something p

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

Does somebody have more information on upcoming fixtures? I mean which teams will face each other first.

It's a pity that league lost it's main partner - Fedcom Invest.
It will be good for clubs to gain more match fitness just before the start of domestic championships.

Looks quite good. Shame that there's so little promotion for the league. At least over here...

Tomorrow this thing will start, considering that Levadia hasn't sold players, has more like even made the side securer and seeing how they did in Europe last season I think they are the favourites.

I think Baltic League is a good way of getting foreing scouts to come and check the players, and will also give teams some more proper challenges.

I hope they'll air some games here in national televesion aswell.

Boohoo

Budget
In 2007 the budget of the Baltic League is 710 000 euros.

Bonuses for clubs
Qualifying for the Baltic League: 13 000 euros.
For each point in group games: 650 euros.
Qualifying for quarter-final: 3600 euros.
Qualifying for semi-final: 3600 euros.
Losing in final: 3000 euros.
Winning in final: 5000 euros.
Maximum sum which the winner of the League can earn: 33 000 euros.
All travelling costs of clubs (including flight tickets, accommodation, etc. for 25 persons) are compensated by the Baltic League.
Those top-flight clubs of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania which do not qualify for the Baltic League get a solidarity payment of 2875 euros per club.
What is a top fight club ? Is there a kind of G14 in the baltic states ?
33 000 isn't that much. I hope it will work though...

Since when do they mark the goalscorers with their forenames?

Heard that TVMK were unlucky to lose this match as they were the more dominant side. Bad start for our clubs but let's hope for the best. Maybe at least one team can advance :undecide:
