12.11.05 Finland-Estonia

On Saturday afternoon we will meet our dear neighbours Finland again. We have played them 4 times in the past: 0:0 draw in 1992, shocking 0:7 defeat in 1994, 2:2 in 1996 and 1:1 in 2001. So we are still waiting for a first win. They are missing lots of their best players, so it's not an impossible mission. We will be missing our most important player, Andres Oper, who is carrying a slight injury and doesn't want to take risks.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? It was our goalie's fault. He should have saved that free kick from Sjölund, but he made a positioning mistake.

Overall it was quite even first half.

We're now 1-2 behind. Arkivuo scored after a scramble from corner kick to put the Finns 2-0 up, but couple of minutes later we got a penalty and Kruglov scored it.

It finished 2-2, so it's another draw against Finland. We created really good pressure on the last 10 minutes, Lindpere scored on 84th after a nice attacking move and we also had chances to win the game.
Overall it's not bad to come back from 0-2 behind on away stadium, but it wasn't exactly a great game from us. Of course we missed about half of our regular starters too.
Terehhov, Rähn, Stepanov and Lindpere were our best players IMO. Kotenko was really poor today, both of the goals came from his mistakes and he was insecure on other moments too.

the first half from us was one to forget. but the 2nd was better and we were mostly dominationg. Terehhov and Stepanov were very good, but we surely missed Oper in front.

One can be satisfied with an away draw, I think.
Is there a possibility to watch Estonian NT games' highlights/goals in the internet?

There are some videoclips on the webpage of our national TV channel: http://etvsport.ee/index.php?019. Finland-Estonia highlights are also there.

Expected defeat. Poland is too strong for us right now, especially when we don't have Oper.
