That's quite a high-profile friendly you got there. Japan is a strong team. I wonder if they came all the way to Europe for just this one match?

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

For two matches, vs Latvia and vs Ukraine(12/Oct) . And about half of players in this squad are living in Europe and playing for Euro clubs, or sitting on the bench

Do you have the list of player called for this game ? What could be your starting line-up if everyone is fit ?

We have two Japanese here, in France. Even though Koji Nakata had hard time last year and doesnt play much, Daisuke Matsui is not innocent in Le Mans surprising good start of the season in Ligue 1. Is it his first call ?

LATVIA - JAPAN 2:2

Latvia came from two goals down to hold Japan in a friendly in Riga.

Against a team whose passage to the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany is assured, Latvia fell behind within five minutes when Hamburger SV striker Naohiro Takahara shot in from 30 metres out. Another of Japan's nine European-based players, Celtic FC's Shunsuke Nakamura converted a penalty early in the second half to double Japan's lead, but Latvia then began a comeback.

Vits Rimkus pulled one back following a corner and late in the game Andrejs Rubins pounced to secure a draw for Latvia, who cannot qualify for the World Cup but complete their Group 3 fixtures in Portugal on Wednesday before looking to reach their second consecutive UEFA European Championship in 2008. Japan's two-game European tour ends on Wednesday against fellow World Cup contenders Ukraine.

The 1:20 p.m. start was the earliest ever for the Latvian football team.

Retiring veteran defender Mihails Zemlinskis was honored at half-time.

Latvia's next game will be a World Cup qualifier October 12 against home team Portugal.

Ha. At least you have some months left to improve that. Ukraine should be a good test for you.
